The MILWAUKEE M12 Sub-Compact Band Saw is the most compact and lightest weight cordless band saw on the market. The M12 Band Saw provides one-handed power and portability to electricians, maintenance professionals and other users cutting small diameter materials. This Milwaukee sub-compact band saw is less than half the weight and size compared to a traditional deep cut band saws. At only 6.75 lbs. and 12 in. in length, the band saw is ideal for overhead or one-handed cutting applications. This powerful saw can cut through 3/4 in. EMT in just 3 seconds and delivers up to 150 cuts per charge with an M12 REDLITHIUM XC High Capacity battery (not included). The M12 Band Saw has a 1-5/8 in. x 1-5/8 in. cut capacity and low vibration that performs clean cuts on the most common small diameter metal cutting applications. The M12 Band Saw meets OSHA guarding requirements featuring a dual-latching lower guard that covers the blade outside the active cutting area and is suitable for one-handed use. The Milwaukee band saw tool also includes a variable speed trigger and LED light. The M12 Band Saw Bare Tool comes equipped with one 18 TPI metal cutting blade and is backed by a 5-year warranty. The M12 Sub-Compact Cordless band saw should be used only with Milwaukee Sub-Compact Portable Band Saw Blades (48-39-0572).

Its cool how compact this bandsaw is and I’m sure it’s incredibly useful to some people. Personally i would go for the M18 compact instead if i could do it over again. It just has a very narrow window of usefullness. If I worked with more U Channel, conduit and threaded rod I’d be more happy to keep it in my toolbox. I have a wide variety of jobs in a given day from plumbing, heating and electrical and a larger cut capacity would be better for me. That’s just personal preference though. It’s a great little tool if you’re on a project with the size material it’s designed for

Use this almost everyday at work to cut EMT electrical conduit. Works great. The included 3.0 battery last all day easily. Great tool to add to my other Milwaukee M12 line. If you have a need for this tool I highly recommend. It does have its limitations but that’s why I have a corded larger bandsaw
