The Milwaukee M12 Cordless 2 Tool Combo Kit includes M12 Sub-Compact Band Saw (2429-20) and M12 Copper Tubing Cutter (2471-20).Milwaukee M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Sub-Compact Band Saw cuts through small diameter materials with ease. Ideal for overhead cutting applications, this powerful saw can cut through 3/4 in. EMT in only 3 seconds and gets over 150 cuts per charge with the M12 REDLITHIUM battery . Featuring a 1-5/8 in. x 1-5/8 in. cut capacity and low vibration, this saw also features a dual-latching lower guard that covers the blade outside the active cutting area, addressing OSHA guarding requirements and making this tool suitable for 1-handed use. Milwaukee 2471-20 M12 Copper Tubing Cutter is designed for quickly cutting copper, with up to 200 cuts on a single charge. Operating at 500 RPM, the rotating metal head cuts copper tubing with as little as 1-1/2 in. of clearance. It features an inline design that offers greater reach in confined spaces.

I held off on buying this for far too long, hoping for a brushless version. While one would certainly see somewhat more power and run-time, both are more than adequate at it is. Until you’ve seen this in person, it’s hard to envision just how tiny it is. I also have the m18 Fuel Deep-Cut, and it’s big enough that it only comes along in the truck with me when needed. The beauty of this m12 for me is that it takes up hardly any room in my already-overloaded service truck.I don’t typically pay attention to such stats – judging a tool more solely on whether it makes my work day easier, more efficient – but someone asked me to: I got 140 cuts on 3/8″ threaded rod on one fully-charged 4.0 battery. I can’t see anyone complaining about battery life, with what this tool brings to the table for you.If you’re someone that cuts smaller-diameter pipe / conduit, threaded rod or strut as part of your workday, this is a must-have tool!
