The Milwaukee M12 Cordless 2 Tool Combo Kit includes M12 Sub-Compact Band Saw (2429-20) and M12 Copper Tubing Cutter (2471-20).Milwaukee M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Sub-Compact Band Saw cuts through small diameter materials with ease. Ideal for overhead cutting applications, this powerful saw can cut through 3/4 in. EMT in only 3 seconds and gets over 150 cuts per charge with the M12 REDLITHIUM battery . Featuring a 1-5/8 in. x 1-5/8 in. cut capacity and low vibration, this saw also features a dual-latching lower guard that covers the blade outside the active cutting area, addressing OSHA guarding requirements and making this tool suitable for 1-handed use. Milwaukee 2471-20 M12 Copper Tubing Cutter is designed for quickly cutting copper, with up to 200 cuts on a single charge. Operating at 500 RPM, the rotating metal head cuts copper tubing with as little as 1-1/2 in. of clearance. It features an inline design that offers greater reach in confined spaces.

The M12 sub-compact band saw works great. It’s lightweight and easy to use one handed. I used it to cut 1/4″ thick barrel spacers . It cut right through quickly and made a clean cut. Definitely a must have tool.

Great lightweight bandsaw. Super easy to handle one handed and gets the majority of the jobs done even with it’s smaller cut size. Perfect for running 1/2”-1” conduit and up to 1 5/8” strut. Battery goes all day no problem!

Its cool how compact this bandsaw is and I’m sure it’s incredibly useful to some people. Personally i would go for the M18 compact instead if i could do it over again. It just has a very narrow window of usefullness. If I worked with more U Channel, conduit and threaded rod I’d be more happy to keep it in my toolbox. I have a wide variety of jobs in a given day from plumbing, heating and electrical and a larger cut capacity would be better for me. That’s just personal preference though. It’s a great little tool if you’re on a project with the size material it’s designed for
