This little polisher is super handy. I use it with abrasives for sanding and compounds for polishing; everything from headlight lens refinishing to gasket removal… This thing ROCKS! Uses the same 12v battery as the rest of my Milwaukee cordless tools. Yes, it’s small, but don’t let that fool you… It punches above its weight!

The polisher is great but it could be better. I like a few things about it. The polisher is lightweight and versatile. It can get into tight places. It is multi-purpose. There are lot’s of battery options for it. There are lots of pad options for it, and countless sanding options. I don’t like that the variable speed is trigger controlled.Trying to hold the trigger at what you think is a certain RPM can be tiring. It would be better with a dial to control the speed, then just pull and lock the trigger. Or make a One Key model that allows for speed customization through the app. If you’re on the fence, maybe hold off until that happens.

Great for polishing headlights and removing light scratcher on paint and wood. Plenty of pads available (4″ pads work fine) at online auto detailing sites.

I bought the tool only the first 1 i had lasted 3 years of everyday use in a body shop but the battery the tool comes with sucks. You want the XC. 6.0 and a fast charger not the standard one

This is my second one. I liked the guest one so much, bought one for the ranch. Wife used it last weekend to buff wax off of a project.

High quality tool. Use mostly with the Roloc sanding disc. A nice alternative if you don’t have an air compressor. variable speed allows precise control over your work.

I recently used the Milwaukee M12 Cordless Variable Speed Polisher/Sander to buff out and polish the “fogged” acrylic headlight lenses on 3 vehicles. This involved 4-5 passes with 800, 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper and water, and 6-8 passes with a polishing pad and rubbing compound. The tool felt comfortable in my hand, and it was easy to control the speed and position, with and without the optional handle. As for battery life, the 1st vehicle took me about 1 1/2 hours using an XC 4.0 A/hr battery. It still had 2 lights on the charge indicator upon completion. I switched to an XC6.0 A/hr battery for the 2nd and 3rd vehicles and completed both (4 headlights) in just over 2 hours. The charge indicator at 3 lights until just after starting the polishing passes.

Bought this to use roloc pads to clean off gasket surfaces on engines. Makes life so much easier.

This tool has the right RPM range for sanding and polishing. Far better than using a drill for the same purpose – sanding discs move more smoothly over your work and chatter and pull less at the proper RPM. One pass with this unit is the equivalent of 3-5 passes with a drill. You can use 3M Roloc sanding discs and foam / wool polishing pads with this unit with the supplied adapters. Keep in mind this unit does not use a drill chuck, so you will not be able to use stone or wire wheels with it. Overall, highly recommended.

This will not replace your full size polisher but it’s a great little additional tool to have in the bag that is handy for smaller jobs.
