The MILWAUKEE M12 Cordless High Performance Jig Saw Kit is the most compact, lightest weight professional cordless jig saw on the market with its innovative Hybrid Grip design. The Hybrid Grip delivers greater control by bringing the grip closer to the material with a variable speed trigger. The jig saw handle design combines the best features from both top handle and barrel grip jigsaws to provide superior cut control and a low center of gravity grip for precision during curved cutting applications. A powerful 3/4 in. stroke length and 0-2,800 SPM variable speed trigger deliver fast and accurate cuts in multiple materials. The Jig Saw features a QUIK-LOK T-Shank blade clamp and tool free 450 bevel capability for quick and easy tool adjustments. The Milwaukee Cordless Jig Saw is powered by an M12 REDLITHIUM Battery and has an LED light that highlights the cutting surface for improved visibility. The M12 Jig Saw is designed to minimize vibration by using a fully counterbalanced mechanism and positioning the limited tool weight directly over the cutting area. The jig saw is ideal for making quick cuts in wood, metal, wall tile or plastics without the hassle of pulling out a cord. This kit includes (1) M12 RED LITHIUM compact battery, 30-minute charger, (1) 10 TPI wood cutting blade, anti-splintering insert, non-marring shoe and a contractor bag.

It’s Milwaukee, need I say more? No…well, I will. I was truly amazed at the power of this 12v. Maybe I’m crazy, but it’s comparable to the 18v power wise. Granted, I wasn’t using it on metal, or thick stock. Nonetheless, its size and power are surprising.

I bought this jig saw because I already have the M12 drill with batteries, and I am very happy I chose to buy this tool. It’s amazing how much power can come from the M12 batteries. This jig saw cuts like butter and is very quiet. The only downside is that it does not have a dust blower, and you have to blow the dust away to make perfect cuts. Also, I wouldn’t recommend buying from Home Depot(like I did), this drill can be purchased online for $20-25 less.

To start off, let me say that the only reason I said I wouldn’t recommend this jig saw is that it’s just a bit underpowered and slow for cutting woods thicker than 3/4″ thick. Spend the extra few dollars and buy the m18 jigsaw. It’s more powerful and an overall better saw. Having said that, if you still decide to get this jig saw, it’s a built extremely well, just like all other Milwaukee tools. It runs on the M12 battery so if you already have M12 tools, this will fit right in. The saw has great ergonomics and is nice and light. For light use, this is the jig saw to get. The jig saw comes with a free blade and I actually found it to be a fantastic blade. It’s actually my go-to blade now.
