Tried the 3/8 brushless version, as well as this version of the cordless ratchet. The brushless had more power (ft lbs torque) but this version has a smaller head and cost less. For the work I have used it for, the smaller and more narrow ratchet head was very helpful, and the torque was adequate 99% of the time. Work done was on a smaller mid size car.

I bought this product after a lot of reviewing and searching for similar models. Decided on this one due to the amazing price from HD and the great reviews it’s received from similar sites. I was hoping that it would have the torque needed to break torque on bolts and nuts in hard to reach places. Unfortunately this is not the case. You have to turn it by hand to break the torque, then you can hold the trigger down to remove the bolt or nut. It’s still a time saver to be able to just hold the paddle down and zip a bolt or nut right out, so can’t give it a bad rating. Battery lasts long, and it’s very sturdy so far. Changing the direction of rotation is a little bit of a headache, but it’s the same as it is on a ratcheting wrench, so again, can’t be too critical. Overall satisfied with the purchase. Would recommend as a time saver for installing and removing bolts and nuts. (Was used extensively recently on an engine removal and installation on an 04 Acura TL just to show extent of use so far.)
