Place the nail in the nailer an press the button to start the nailer before making contact with the wood. I am able to hold a 2×4 in my hand and drive a nail into it.

Excellent for nailing in awkward locations. Magnet hold nail in place. Would recommend holding the nail straight by hand if possible so it drives straight once it starts to drive you can let go. After a few times you will get the knack and that won’t be necessary anymore. Really good product

For what it is I guess it’s ok. Not real impressed with this tool though. It’s large by necessity for a palm nailer. It’s cumbersome to use compared to a mini palm nailer even with 3/8″ hose attached. IT does work, has no problems driving nails, but you have to push power button push down on nailer to drive nail and guide nail all at the same time. If I have just a few nails to drive where I can’t swing a hammer I’ll use this, more than a few nails in a tight space I’m grabbing my compressor, hose and mini-palm nailer. In the end, this is the first M-12 tool I’ve bought that I’m less than enthused about.

Overall a really cool product. I’ve used it for nailing regular nails with no problem. I use this for primarily nailing in p-hooks for low voltage wire runs, and for wall anchors. It’s been a great addition to my red (Milwaukee) collection!

I don’t really use a lot of nails anymore but when I do its nice not to be carrying a hammer around with me when not needed, this fits in my bag and handy when I’m doing joist hangers in tight areas where you don’t have room for a hammer. I have a couple of these that are air driven and they work good but the air hose always is in the way, that’s why I got this. Pretty powerful I tested it on some 40 year old treated lumber in my shop that you have to predrill to put screws in and it just bent the nail over but shot a #10 nail into hard oak with no problem so it works good.
