I purchased this impact about 3 years ago. I have put it through much abuse with automotive related tasks, constantly getting drenched in brake fluid, oil, brake cleaner, anything you can think of. For years this tool as performed flawlessly. I would recommend for a small and compact impact with a fair amount of torque for its size. I would definitely buy again if I ever would need to replace it.

I’ve had this tool for one a year now and I think it’s a good impact tool except for the darn forward/backward switch, it constantly moves when hit by my hand ever so slightly and once it does, the tool stops working. Why not put the switch somewhere on top away from the hand grip, or a sliding switch up higher on the side where when the switch is forward is when you can drive and moved to the rear of the tool to reverse, that would be so much more intuitive. The switch as it is now is also confusing as to which way is forward. I’ve driven in 4″ long screws with no problem, but when working overhead or down near my feet it’s way too easy to hit the forward/back slide switch, which can be very frustrating while holding something with one hand and trying to drive with the other. The light is a nice feature & has come in handy many a time!

Was hoping for this tool to be brushless. Otherwise, it’s pretty decent. Doesn’t have a speed selection so sometimes strips the item your working on but it gets easier with time.

I have several other M12 products (as well as a few M18 products,) and after reading tons of reviews, I chose to pick up the bare tool version of this product to work with the batteries and charger I already have on hand. The cost was minimal (<$80.) While the M18 version of this product may pack more punch (torque,) for my needs this is more than sufficient. I find that it has the power to set screws that even the M18 drill cannot. Like all of the other M12 products, this driver is physically small and lightweight, which is tremendously helpful in tight or hard-to-reach areas. The bult-in LED lamp to light the work area is quite helpful, and the fact that it stays on for a few seconds after touching the trigger makes it most useful. I only wish that I'd picked up this driver a long time ago! It would have saved me a significant amount of time during a recent remodel and deck project.

This is a great tool. It’s light weight and still powerfull enough to do most of my jobs. I just used it for 8 hours of driving drywall screws and other than a couple of battery changes ( to be expected) it performed like a champ. I have a larger impact driver but the size and weight of this one is ideal. I own several of this series tolls and would recommend them all.
