I am a comercial elcectrician and i have been using it for two weeks, it does receptacles, conduict fittings and self tapping trough junction boxes(speaking of abuse) i am sure is not gonna last me a long time like that but is it what it is, i also have the gen 3 fuel impact but i keep this one in my belt all the time and it gets used all the time, i go trough 2 1.5 ish amp batteries in 10 hours of work depending of the task at hand, if it last 6 months i am gonna upgrade to the fuel version and put this one in a hollow box in my garage for displaying purposes

I have a battery operated drill I have used for many years given to me as a Christmas present. I use it hard and has lasted me without any mechanical or battery failures. The cordless hex impact tool I used to install metal screws in metal to hold a tarp on the RV cover that covers my camper. Lots of power, no problem.

This is replacing my Dewalt impact. I like the light weight and it has plenty of power. I would definitely recommend getting two batteries because under heavy use you will need to swap out every 20 minutes or so. That still gives you plenty of time to recharge.

I’ve had this tool for one a year now and I think it’s a good impact tool except for the darn forward/backward switch, it constantly moves when hit by my hand ever so slightly and once it does, the tool stops working. Why not put the switch somewhere on top away from the hand grip, or a sliding switch up higher on the side where when the switch is forward is when you can drive and moved to the rear of the tool to reverse, that would be so much more intuitive. The switch as it is now is also confusing as to which way is forward. I’ve driven in 4″ long screws with no problem, but when working overhead or down near my feet it’s way too easy to hit the forward/back slide switch, which can be very frustrating while holding something with one hand and trying to drive with the other. The light is a nice feature & has come in handy many a time!
