Great product, only issues are it should be able to do higher torque values for the price, and its a very large tool.

The Milwaukee m12 1/2″ torque wrench is very solidly engineered and constructed. It ‘s a little on the big arcward side. But the items you would normally being torqued wouldn’t be in a tight location so I don’t really see the size be too much of a impact. It features a very nice easy to use digital display that is easy to use and works great. Being onekey gives you the option of getting torque readings that you can then print out or record the parameters used.

I purchased the torque wrench and honestly love it. The Heavy Duty build on this surprised me at first but then I realized WHY! It is Red and Black with my favourite Logo on it! I am a Plumber by trade and I depend on Milwaukee every single day to make my job easier for me and this tool does just that! When working on big Commercial water lines the torque wrench provides the exact pressures I need and with ease! Milwaukee, you never seem to disappoint!!

The audience for this Milwaukee motorized digital torque wrench is, I think, intended to be people who tighten many fittings/bolts a day and have to do so repetitively. The promotional material suggests that this tool can replace multiple others, but I am not convinced of that. The first thing to understand is that the motorized aspect doesn’t tighten the bolt to torque. It will spin the bolt until it starts to tighten, but then you must finish the operation by hand. Here is where the tool shines in that it shows you visually and audibly how close you are to the target torque you have set. See the pictures I attached.Like other Milwaukee One-Key tools, the torque wrench is very configurable – you can not only set the target torque but the acceptable target range both below and above. It also works with the One-Key system that can tie the tool to a cellphone so that only the authorized user can use it. It can also record set torques, if your work requires that. The tool itself is large and heavy. The motorized action is reversible if you are tightening bolts that go that way – you can’t use it to loosen a tight bolt, so keep that air wrench handy. As for accuracy, I don’t have a way of thoroughly testing, but compared to my manual torque wrench it seemed about right. One thing I will note is that after 5000 uses the calibration will “expire”, and you will have to return it to Milwaukee to get recertified for continued use (if I understand the wording correctly, the tool will stop functioning 14 days after it reaches 5000 uses.)

I used my new Milwaukee Digital Torque Wrench today and I’m amazed with this new tool. The powered ratchet can tighten up a nut to a pre-torque value and then the tool can be used like a normal torque wrench with electronic feedback while the operator rotates the tool by hand to torque the nut. Four notification modes from the tool (audible, LED, LCD and vibratory) are activated when the proper torque is achieved. Over torque values are displayed in red. This tool also has the “One-Key” features that can track the location of the tool and record/print torques made on the job site via the “One-Key” app. The “One-Key” app can be down loaded to your cell phone. My project was to check the lug nut torques on my RAV4 wheels which the manual says should be 76 ft.-lbs. The first thing I did was to set the torque setting on the Milwaukee Torque wrench. I pressed the power button, pushed “OK” twice and hit the up arrows to 76 and hit the “OK” again. Next, I got a 13/16-inch impact socket and a short extension and put it on the drive end of the wrench.I used the torque wrench to loosen a lug nut and re-torque it to 76 ft.-lbs. In my first trial the drive end of the wrench was in my right hand and when I took a picture of the display, I realized that the read out was upside down. A future design might make it like my iPad which rotates the screen image, so it is always right side up. I switched the drive end to my left hand and the screen image was now right side up.While torqueing the lug nut I used the built-in power ratchet to tighten the lug bolt to a pre-torque value. Then using the torque wrench handle I torqued the lug nut watching the progress lights approach the proper torque of 76 ft.-lbs. I found it difficult to hit the exact torque, but I was always in an approved range slightly above the required torque of 76 ft.-lbs (-0, +10%).I found it was easier to torque the lug nut if the ratchet trigger was locked out, so I wouldn’t accidentally actuate the ratchet trigger while I was trying to torque the nut. I like the built in LED light that shines on the nut being torqued. The Torque wrench works great; however, the cost might be somewhat prohibitive. This cost could be offset if recorded and printed records are a requirement on your job. I would recommend the Milwaukee M12 Digital Torque Wrench to any serious professional or DIY individual needing an accurate torque wrench.

I use this product daily. This torque wrench makes me more efficient with my job is able to do 90% of the torque values. Meets all expectations and reliability to expect with the Milwaukee name. Will be intrested to see how they do with recalibrating. No cons to be listed its fast, well constructed and extremely efficient

I used this product on multi million dollar machinery it is easy because I do not have to reset Yes I would use it because I do not have to reset at the torque values back to 0 with conventional torque wrenches. I have used it with other calibrated torque wrenches and the values or a very comparable

i build engines quite often so i was really excited about getting one of these , that im aware i have the first one around this area at least . i was the first to even see it and had been waiting for it . for the price i expected a little more . its very slow in my opinion . more of an issue is that after just a few issues ive found it to overtorque so im gonna have to send it in .

Another great product from the people at Milwaukee. I really like the one-key feature of this tool. Once the tool info is entered into the app you are able to track the tool and also set up parameters for the tool to operate. The app can also provide reports to detail the torque used to tighten bolts for let’s say a pull test in earthquake areas. This would be a great tool for the auto mechanic, builder or commercial construction. The LCD screen is very easy to see and read.

As a career mechanic of 20 years, I find this tool very useful, however there is too much user feedback with all the vibrations and lights. The tool needs to vibrate when complete torque has been reached. Not before. It’s very confusing to use.
