Probably one of the best tools I have purchased in awhile. Cuts through pvc like like butter and no shavings or mess to clean up. Very handy when working in tight crawl spaces and need to cut a lot of 1-1/2” and 2” PVC pipe. It does tend to collapse and crack thinner PVC tubing.

It should be sold with the batteries and charger. Home Depot makes it so easy to purchase items.

Worked well until we needed a new blade. No one has the blade in stock. Everyone you order them from charges shipping if they can get them. Other issues include the fast return to open the blade lasted about a week. I don’t know if the person who designed this was double jointed but the ergonomics are odd. You will get used to it but the first few times you use it, you will have a wtf moment. Everyone I know who has used the tool has been annoyed by the placement of the safety button that you have to hold down to make the tool work. Idk why “professional tools” need a nanny state safety switch but this tool has one. If new blades where available at the same places the tool was sold I would be fine with the issues. The battery life is truly amazing. If you plan on using it outside, keep it clean or be prepared to field strip it and clean it. Because of the lack of accessible blades from retailers I went back to using manual shears and my sawzall to cut pipe.

Tree trimming bought this for my wife to trim so she can trim the bushes and tree branches and it is easy on her hands just push the button and the thing is cut off some day I will try and cut plastic pipe.

Great idea, but some obvious flaws that seem unavoidable. Biggest one is if cutting old or thin wall PVC there’s a 50% chance it cracks while cutting. Don’t bother. Also while cutting new PVC it leaves a ridge at the end of the pipe which keeps it from easily sliding into a fitting. Shaving needed

I am a swimming pool repairman in the phoenix area. When I had shoulder surgery (and could not saw for awhile) I went looking for a easier way to cut pipe and found this gem. It makes my job easier and I will always have one in my tool bag. I cut pipe from 3/4 to 2″ schedule 40, 80 and cpvc effortlessly. All my subs are jealous when I pull it out and remind me of upcoming birthdays and holidays. only downside is cutting older pipe (tends to shatter even with fresh oiled blade) but I can deal with that. After countless cuts (over 8 years) I now need a new blade. great tool!!
