The MILWAUKEE M12 Plastic Pipe Shear Kit cuts cleaner, faster, closer, and longer than traditional plastic pipe shears with over 200 cuts on one battery charge. The M12 Plastic Pipe Shear can cut through 2” schedule 80 PVC in three seconds or less. Its razor-sharp pierce-point leaves pipe and tubing clean, burr-free, and ready for installation, minimizing the time users spend on the job. Instantly open the jaw to increase productivity in repetitive cuts by using the tool’s quick blade release. Users can expect more work from this cordless shear with a 3mm stainless steel blade and aluminum jaw that resists impact, water, and rust. Powered by M12 REDLITHIUM Battery, users get more power and longer run-time for maximum cuts per charge. The on-board battery fuel gauge helps monitor the charge status, so there’s less downtime on the job. In addition to the M12 Plastic Pipe Shear, this kit includes an M12 Battery Charger and an M12 REDLITHIUM CP1.5 Battery Pack.

I lost track of my PEX Cotter the hand type and after seeing a Milwaukee specialist said their power tool was rated for PEX as well I tried it on a piece and just as my instincts dictated it would not work properly if this is correct I stand corrected but I’m on the way out to go buy a new chesp hand tool

Wish I bought it sooner. I bought it about a month ago, and it seems like every other day someone is commenting on it. I use this to cut anything from 2″ SCH 40 down to 1″ pex. The cuts are straight, clean and fast.

Worked well until we needed a new blade. No one has the blade in stock. Everyone you order them from charges shipping if they can get them. Other issues include the fast return to open the blade lasted about a week. I don’t know if the person who designed this was double jointed but the ergonomics are odd. You will get used to it but the first few times you use it, you will have a wtf moment. Everyone I know who has used the tool has been annoyed by the placement of the safety button that you have to hold down to make the tool work. Idk why “professional tools” need a nanny state safety switch but this tool has one. If new blades where available at the same places the tool was sold I would be fine with the issues. The battery life is truly amazing. If you plan on using it outside, keep it clean or be prepared to field strip it and clean it. Because of the lack of accessible blades from retailers I went back to using manual shears and my sawzall to cut pipe.

I work with a lot of 1″- 2″ PVC since I do hot tub repairs and am just starting as a apprentice plumber. They cut through pipe like its butter, no burs to remove and ready to glue in your new piece. The case is good quality and battery lasts all day. I couldn’t be happier with this tool.

I have five acres of “tanglewood”, that is woods with a lot of undergrowth and deadwood. I looked at purpose built cordless pruners, but they lacked power. This tool has about twice the cutting force as cordless pruners. I use it to make bifurcated branches easier to feed to my 10hp chipper. The action is a little slow, but i will take that any day over having to use two hands to operate manual loppers, not to mention saving my aging jopints. Anyone saying this tool will not cut 2″ sched 40 PVC is lying. Just go to Youtube for live demonstrations.
