I am a electrician by trade and used this product on large commercial jobs and cuts great every time.Just keep a backup battery on hand.Like all tools read instructions Do not use these on any type of steel cables. They are meant to cut soft metals like copper and aluminum only.

Works so well! Bites thru 220v dryer/stove cords like butter. Battery lasts long time and charges quickly. (I bought an extra battery so never run out). It’s heavy for sure. I leave it sitting upright on the work station and use it that way. Much easier. So far I still have all my fingers (knock on wood) so it’s pretty safe to work with but like any power tool, use caution.

This cutter shattered my expectations. Easily cuts through 500 mcm copper and I have no doubt it will cut 600s as it says it would. Saves a ton of time cutting large wires and prepping for terminations and also saves your hands from making countless pulls on the ratchet cutters. It’s low profile and fits in tight areas with ease. It also cuts well over 100 cuts per charge on a 3ah battery. For its price point it is hands down worth every penny. Your hands will thank you, your speed will improve, and the overall quality of installation will improve, and the overall quality of installation will be better because you will be more inclined to make that one more precision cut opposed to saying forget it because your hands are sore! 250s and under I cut on hi speed in less than 3 seconds. 350s-500s on low gear took about 6 seconds. This is an excellent tool. If you work with large wire for a living, this is a must have.

this thing is amazing. I bought it cause I was tired of busting my gut trying to cut 600mcm. If you’re a self employed electrician who’s considering this tool, go for it. its worth every penny when you can hold that wire next to the lug, and don’t have to do anything but reach in and pull the trigger to get cut to length.

Since this is the first review, let me state what you don’t see in the pictures or demo video.First off, it has two speeds controlled by a top mounted toggle like any cordless drill you’re used to seeing.Second, it cuts in increments which are not so noticeable in second gear. The jaws close a bit and then back off, and so on so as not to over work the tool.Third, this tool has some weight which hasn’t bothered me because the tool is so well balanced.Typically when cutting heavy gauge wire I used a $15 pair of bolt cutters but being cheap only gets you so far as bolt cutters don’t work on heavily insulated SOOW.They do warn you to not use the tool on anything other than copper or aluminum so I don’t think I’ll be using this on armored cable anytime soon, we’ll save that for the bolt cutters. It’s a great tool and such a value when compared to the M18 model that runs four times as much, save that tool for the line men.

This M12 tool is great!!!. Makes it easy on my shoulders I’ve used it on 1/0..2/0..4/0 copper 350 aluminum and 750 aluminum cut through like butter. In my opinion for my usage being an electrician using it almost weekly it is money well spent.

Cutters work well. I’ve only tried up to 4/0 copper but cuts easily in insulation. Need to switch to lower gear if the wire is stripped. I have not had the opportunity to try 500 copper yet seen the tool claims I can do up to 600.
