The MILWAUKEE M12 600 MCM Cable Cutter Kit simplifies cable cutting by fitting comfortably in crowded panels. The M12 cable cutter generates 5,000 pounds of force and fits into tight spaces to effortlessly cut through large-diameter cable, leaving a clean, installation-ready cuts. A built-in LED light illuminates the line of the cut. The compact size and scissor-style jaws enable cutting in crowded panels without looping, ratcheting or long arms. The 600 MCM cable cutter is ideal for electricians, Datacomm, utility or service contractors or demolition crews that face a wide range of applications. The 2-speed gear case delivers the power to cut through large-diameter cable and switches into high speed to slice quickly through a variety of smaller, common wire types. This cable cutter is powered by the M12 REDLITHIUM Battery which delivers up to 150 cuts of 600 MCM copper per charge. In addition to the cable cutter, this kit includes one M12 Battery, a multi-voltage charger and carrying case. Includes a replacement 600 MCM Cable Cutter Replacement Blades (48-44-0410).

I’m in awe of how this cuts through thick cable. Any other method of cutting through thick cable we’ve used was physically intensive or a really expensive tool. This tool is very reasonably priced considering what it does. My only lingering doubt about the product is it’s durability. I’m encouraged that new blades can be purchased. I highly recommend!

Bought this because we do a lot of cable replacements and cut-overs to new systems where I work. The M12 is compact enough that I can use it inside electrical cabinets or enclosures to cut out old wiring, where our existing battery operated cutters don’t fit. I have had it two months and feel the safety release is in an awkward location for me. The safety trigger is not conveniently depressed to make the cut. I realize this is also a “safety feature” and should not easily be depressed. But, I make many cable cuts is awkward positions (tool horizontal or at different angles, reaching, etc.) during cut overs and feel the the safety trigger could be better positioned. If all cuts were made at (or close to) the optimal work position, this would probably not be an issue. Also, waiting for blades to come out to cut ACSR. All in all…it is a great tool to have.

I wasn’t sure it would do the job for the price . After cutting 500 nvm copper for 2 weeks on a demo job I will say this tool impressed me . Even after dropping it off an 8′ ladder it is still cutting . Great investment .
