I purchased this grinder (tool only) back in April of this year to install an aftermarket rear bumper onto my Jeep. I decided to purchase this after reading countless reviews and watching numerous YouTube videos about it. I wanted it to make clean cuts in a tight spot of my Jeep’s chassis. I chose this right angle grinder over the straight die grinder so I can use it as a metal surface grinder since this is mostly what I needed one for. I had two 6.0 batteries and only needed one for my specific bumper project (about 45 mins of continuous use). I personally feel that the 6.0 is a must with this tool but the cost of batteries and accessories adds up fast. I went to a local auto parts store and picked up a quick disc changer (aka twist lock) system, metal cutting discs, wheel arbor, and rotary burr set. With one new 6.0 battery (I already owned one previously), accessories, and tool I have around $300 invested. I have since used it on multiple projects (i.e. differential/transmission oil pan gasket removal, vinyl fence project, and a lot of miscellaneous small metal cutting and grinding projects). I am extremely satisfied in the overall performance of this tool. This tool feels really good in my hands (well balanced) and has enough speed and power to cut through thin metal and bolts, and grinding as needed. Thick metal cutting or high demand grinding I use a bandsaw or my m18 grinder. I love the fact that I do not have to drag out my air tools or extension cords anymore. I am incredibly impressed with electric tool technology and even more so in the Milwaukee brand. I own several Milwaukee tools and have not been let down by any of them and this one has been no exception. I am no longer a field service mechanic, so this tool will not get heavily used like my other Milwaukee tools used to so I cannot comment on longevity with heavy abuse. I am a advanced DIY’er and this tool is perfect for me and I highly recommend this for anyone else like me.

As expected, similar to my Sawsall, 1/4 & 3/8 ratchets. drills (3)), etc… I have slowly been converting from pneumatic to battery powered tools for the convenience. I have De Walt for my older battery tools but decided to trey Milwaukee this time. I have only used the new die grinder once but it performed very well. .

The combination set works well and uses many sanding and polishing bit I already have. The safety on the trigger is a bit cumbersome. These are fine tools and should serve well as the other Milwaukee ones have.

Honestly, those were my first thoughts when I pulled the trigger on this tool. I love that it is so easy to handle and the multiple speed function. It feels way different than an air tool, almost like it has a positive drive mechanism, not simply running on momentum. I tried the M18 version, but it was unmanageable and featured only one speed. This tool is perfect, compact, powerful, and cordless/hoseless. Well done, MT!

I love these little things. They are used virtually every time I work with metal now. I originally just wanted the right angle but the duo was a pretty sweet deal. Besides, the full size M18 straight die grinder can be a bit much for small tedious work. Please don’t misunderstand me the power that’s needed is all there. Shipping was punctual as promised. However I wish Home Depot stocked more accessories on the shelf. That’s no fault of Milwaukee though. Just something to consider when buying.
