I use many of the 12 Volt Milwaukee tools and this small compact drill is a nice addition to the line up. It’s small compact size makes it a real bonus to getting into small spaces with great ease and control and not to mention its light weight makes it easy for carrying all day on your tool belt with the Milwaukee M12 Tool Holster Model # 2335-20 Internet #203361191

Starts out pretty slow but overall it’s a quality drill for compact situations.

I’ve had this tool for over a year now and I think it’s a good drill driver except for the darn forward/backward switch, it constantly moves when hit by hand ever so slightly and once it does, the tool stops working. Why not put the switch somewhere on top away from the hand grip, or a sliding switch up higher on the side where when the switch is forward is when you can drive and moved to the rear of the tool to reverse, that would be so much more intuitive. The switch as it is now is also confusing as to which way is forward. I’ve driven in 4″ long screws with no problem, but when working overhead or down near my feet it’s way too easy to hit the forward/back slide switch, which can be very frustrating while holding something with one hand and trying to drive with the other. The light is a nice feature & has come in handy many a time!

•All my cordless tools are now Milwaukee M12’s. 8 Years ago I made the decision after buying their cordless screwdriver (model 2401) to gradually switch everything over as I replaced tools. The #2503 ½” Drill/Driver is my latest addition. This newest model Milwaukee Brushless tool fits perfect in my hand, well balanced, comfortable and plenty of torque. It’s actually about an inch shorter than the previous model to help you squeeze into those tight spaces, and the LED light seems brighter. I like the way the chuck locks the drill bit tight & quickly just by holding the drill bit in the chuck and squeezing the trigger with your other hand and a final slight quick twist on the chuck and you are tight and ready to go! (I have never had a spinning drill bit in any of my other M12 drill chucks!) They also make a powerful 18V series, but I have never needed more power than the M12 series delivers. I have some arthritis in my right hand and right wrist and I really appreciate the super compact size and lighter weight of the M12 tools when I need to do a lot of drilling/driving in my shop or around the house. The price is very affordable and the quality is top notch. The 2503-20 comes without batteries. If you already have any M12 tools this works with both types of M12 batteries or you can buy the drill kit combo that includes two batteries and charger.

I thought this was something with limited power that was only for putting together furniture and the like. I was I suprised. The realization hit me when I was driving screws into a deck at the stairs, Just tightening them up. Then I looked down and saw that I had this 12 volt in my hand and not the 18 volt! I have beaucoup Milwaukee tools and becasue of this one I was confident enough to get more of the 12 volts. Now I find I use them around the house more than my 18 volt tools (except the cirular saw). They cost more but the quality is so good I’m sold on the brand. I think they are now made in China but were onc of the last American made power tools. My last peeve is that when they changed the battery type on the 18 volt, the old batteries weren’t discounted and you had to retool if you wanted the new ones-without any trade-in opportunity

Got this with the matching fuel impact. I wanted a powerful drill in a smaller package, and Milwaukee’s m12 line fit the bill. It was a replacement for my old m12 brushed drill that i had lost (very sad day) but then i got this. Insane amount of power for how small it is, very ergonomic and excellent build quality. Chuck feels solid and spins straight and true. I hope I never lose this thing.

This tool is so lightweight and compact as well. I really like that it is brushless and cordless. It makes working on project so very easy. Also I like that it can do various applications. I can’t believe it only weighs 2.3 pounds which makes it very portable. Also the REDLINK Plus intelligence protects the tool from overloads and overheating while ensuring maximum performance. I like that is has 1700 RPM’s. Thank you for this cool tool.

This little drill is powerfull I use it on my job as an electrician , it does it all. For a 12v tool im really surprised , Ive had other brands in the 18v range and they dont compare. The hammer feature has enough power for light duty concrete task like blocks and so on.

Best cordless drill I’ve ever used. The chuck stays locked in place when securing bits so you don’t need to use the motor to hold it still. The torque settings slowly wind up to speed which keeps fasteners from spinning out of control, and the overall power and speed is just amazing for its size.

I’m totally sold! These M12 tools are amazing. The torque is unbelievable. The precision is real. The drill/driver feels like a $500 tool. The fuel gauge is very convenient. I wish that was a feature on all of my battery-operated tools. The ratcheting clutch is very easy to use and to understand. I especially like the 1/2 switch on top of the drill. Position 1 is for low speed and high torque whereas position 2 is for Higher speed and lower torque. The compact size lets you get into places that larger drill/drivers cannot. But don’t let the compact size fool you. This is one case where smaller is definitely better!!!

I bought this drill as a tool-only package after buying the hammer drill brother. In my line of work we install/remove thousands of fine thread, sheet metal fasteners that don’t need a lot of torque. As a review above said, on the lower torque settings it spins up. And once you find a torque setting that spins up in a short amount of time, it easily over torques every fastener we have. I love the idea of the electronic clutch, but I can’t use it in my line. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat if they had a centrifugal clutch, or an eclutch that ramped up quickly in the lower torque setting.

I love this drill when I need a little less. I have a couple of M18 drills already, and sometimes depending on the job, its nice to have a more compact and light drill. This is the answer. This drill is brushless and works just as well as any other Milwaukee tool I own. I already had several M12 batteries, so this wasn’t an issue getting the tool only. Feels good in the hand, and is well worth every penny!

The soft-start feature is a pain to use and the minimum torque setting on the clutch is way too high. I used a full-sized Makita drill to install panel screws for years but I can’t use this in its place as I’d risk stripping them. I also find it to be quite loud and I need to squeeze the trigger quite hard to get it to run at full speed.

Love it! Effective for around the house jobs. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t so heavy
