I use the 18V cordless drill/driver from makita but it hasn”t a chance against the M12fuel drill/driver from Milwaukee. The metal chuck is very nice for a 12 Volt drill/Driver.

For the price point this is a steal! it has some weight to it, but that is due to the metal chuck and metal internals of the brushless motor. What caught me off guard was the slow start when you pull the trigger, but it helps to keep the screw in place while you start the drill. With 350 in/lbs. of power this drill can handle the majority of your daily tasks. For drill and driving applications I will be using this for the majority of my work unless I use my new m12 compact impact. These two will keep my other 15 Milwaukee M12 and M18 drills and impacts in my work bench at home. More great quality tools from Milwaukee, and this is priced right!

This is one of the better m12 kits due to battery choices. You can use the bigger battery for more power draw tools like the hackzall or multi tool. The drill is fantastic. In the category of drill drivers, without hammer functionality, this is in my opinion probably the best milwaukee offers across the whole line. It’s very light, fits great in the hand ( the weight of the drill is centered right over the knuckle placement) and offers exceptional power. Great mothers day gift for DIY moms. Again, if your not looking for an impact or hammer drill, this is highly recommended especially in the sub-compact universe.

This drill has to be the best built battery opereated drill I have owned and I think I am on number 5 at this point. I also like the fact that it comes with two batteries. The larger one for longer jobs and the small one for times when you need a lighter weight , more compact drill. Based on the Milwaukee M12 Fuel series, more tools can be ordered and used with the same battery and charging system. An all around great addition to my shop.

Great drill. Good power for its voltage. Pretty good trigger control. Good battery life so far. Love that the smaller battery fits mostly inside the handle. True 1/2″ chuck.

This stubby snub-nosed drill will get you into those tight work areas while also delivering plenty of power. It’s easy to handle, it’s light still having enough weight to make it a solid and sturdy tool. The drill comes in a carrying case that includes a battery charger and two batteries: a small, light two-amp battery and a larger, heavier four-amp battery for longer uses. The four-amp battery comes installed inside the handle (which required searching the owner’s manual to find how to release the battery for charging). The larger battery also has a base at the bottom for standing the drill upright.Charging instructions are straight-forward but I experienced a glitch which was addressed in the manual: after inserting the battery instead of the red light glowing steady then the green light glowing when charging is finished, the red and green lights started flashing alternately back and forth. Uh-oh. But the manual instructed me to unplug the charger for two minutes and try again. That did the trick. The manual states the four-amp battery requires up to 75 minutes to charge; mine took 60 minutes.Usage-wise, I was in need of a drill that could fit into a narrow work space. A few months ago, I replaced the wooden stairs on our outdoor deck and started reinforcing the stairs to the stringers. There isn’t much room to work between the deck stringers and the stairs and my old corded, heavy, bulky drill was making the task harder than it had to be. Hey, the Milwaukee drill to the rescue. This drill fits so perfectly in that narrow work area and that’s making the task go faster (see pics). This drill also makes it easier because it’s light and easy to maneuver while still packing plenty of drilling power. There’s just one complaint, maybe pet-peeve, I have but it’s with most tool companies: their manuals. Must the instruction manual also contain almost every warning conceivable? And then not have all the warnings listed separately but mixed-in with the instructions? Why make me search for that one sentence describing how to release the battery from the drill? What would be great is a separate how-to sheet to get me up and running quicker. The specs and ergonomics are impressive and overall this is an excellent drill, especially if you want to forgo body and drill contorting or making compromises when working in tight areas. I’m looking forward to tackling the close-quarter jobs I have on my list. The drill feels great and I would recommend it.

Very nice drill, smaller body with a 1/2” chuck makes this tool a little more versatile than the larger drills we replaced with this one. We now have 5 different tools in the shop using the same batteries which has reduced the number of chargers on the charging shelf.

I’m an electrician in Canada here and I use my drill in a lot of cold areas and I’ve have it for over two months now and the drill performs in the coldest weather -35 C and it was still going hard with a full battery all day The drill performs beautifully just put on receptacle boxes and getting to places with also the adjustable speed and torque The all metal clutch came unscrewed a couple of times once you got it she just had given mixture of notch over and It stayed tight all day can’t complain about the drill great drill way better than any Dewalt warm Mikita that I’ve ever used and I use them all up to here
