Best Drill out there. Lite weight and the same power as my Fuel m18

I use this drill on many different projects like building cabinets, drywalling, and basically, anything you could think of to put screws into besides concrete drilling. But obviously Milwaukee makes other drills for that.

2503-22 M12 FUEL ½” Driver Drill – This Driver Drill has a perfect size and weight to be used all day by the electrical, plumbing and HVAC trades and any DIYer…While providing enough power and run time for most applications…The Driver Drill includes 2 batteries a 2.0 AH and a 4.0 AH, two speed settings, Low 0-450 or High 0-1700 RPM and two application settings, Drilling and Driving, the torque collar setting will remain unchanged when the Driver Drill is switched to drilling…I used the fully charged 4.0 battery for this drill test…1/2” Twist Drill Bit in Mild Steel and Plastic…1” Spade Drill Bit in Pine 2x Lumber…3/4” Auger Drill Bit in Pine 2x Lumber…1” Self-Feed Drill Bit in Pine 2x Lumber…1 3/8” Step Drill Bit in Panel Boxes and Junction Boxes…I also drilled a ¼” hole in cement block using a regular masonry drill bit to install plastic anchors, this application was slower than using a hammer drill, however the drill did handle the task…In the driving mode I drove 3” drywall screws into Pine 2x Lumber, 3″ deck screws into 2x Pine Lumber and #10 hex head sheet metal screws…

This is a great drill, really surprised by the power it has. Fairly compact and light makes it perfect working in tight spaces or over head. Good runtime with the 3Ah battery.

This little drill is quite a surprise. This is more than I would normally spend on a drill driver, & I wasn’t expecting a whole lot from a 12V. First impression, very impressive, feels like a serious tool. All-metal chuck, solid construction, automatic light, good weight & balance. I decided to try it mainly for the size & weight, for the times when a big driver isn’t needed, or won’t fit, or is too much to lug around all day…I may end up using it all the time. Good speed, plenty of power. Batteries charge fast, about an hour for the big one, 40 minutes for the small. Had a little trouble seating the batts into the charger at first, customer support told me there’s a coating on the contacts you have to work thru, may need to push battery down a little the first time to get it to click in. OK. Although this is a variable speed drill, this model also has the added “pro” feature of automatically ramping up slowly when you pull the trigger, which is good for starting out screws, & drilling on hard surfaces…personally, not sure if I like this feature, I’m used to controlling the speed myself. If I was sinking screws & drilling hard surfaces all day long, I’d probably love it. Setting the chuck to “drill” bypasses this feature, but also bypasses the adjustable chuck. Also, there is no “on-board” 2-headed driver bit (flat head/ phillips) on this unit, FYI.All in all, a pretty nice tool, if a little on the expensive side (it does have 2 batteries & a quick charger). Customer support was very helpful, tech support, not so much……….just sayin’…

This drill is solid: two variable-speed ranges, steel one-hand 1/2” chuck, good ergonomics, useful work light. The slow start on low speed helps get screws started when using it as driver. The clutch is also different – the maximum torque point is not as definitive as that of a mechanical clutch.

This is a very nice drill driver. First let me say I probably would never buy this drill driver as I am a basic DIYer and I got this through the Seeds program. I have bought Milwaukee’s drill bits and a couple other items that I wanted the higher end brands, like router bits, etc. You can see in my pic that I have a Ryobi drill that more than gets the job done for the basic stuff I do around the house. But on the occasions that I do call a pro to handle projects at my house, I notice they almost always have either Dewalt or Milwaukee brand tools, and now I can see why. Where the Ryobi is mainly plastic, this Milwaukee is metal. It feels tougher all around and will probably be able to handle more use and abuse. But like I said, I’m a basic DIYer and you can see my drill still looks new. I added the pic of this drill next to the Ryobi for size comparison. For my money, I will keep going with the Ryobi brand as I have been extremely happy with the whole line of products. I replaced my last Ryobi drill with the new one in the pic last year, before that, I had the same Ryobi drill for over 5 years. If I were a pro, I would go for the Milwaukee brand tools. The case that this comes with, as well as two batteries is nice. For comparison’s sake, I got the Ryobi impact driver and drill driver set for less money than the cost of this drill alone. They are essentially the same weight.

As a long time Automotive mechanic and anything to build around the house, Milwaukee brand electric lithium power tools are the best out there. They hold up to the everyday abuse in the shop, as well any other project you tackle. I have owned alot of other brand name electric power tools and these surpass in every way. The batteries seem last very long and tool doesnt loose power till the end when charging is needed. I really like the LED lights that shine on what you are doing when you pull the trigger. Nice having a LED battery charge meter built in to battery packs. I will keep buying Milwaukee tools.

I’ve always wanted a small compact drill/driver and this Milwaukee M12 brushless is absolutely perfect for nearly any do it yourself job. It has plenty of power and is very light. I would recommend this little M12 to anyone. Oh and did I mention it has a 5 year warranty. Buying from Home Depot was great and they give me a great price. Thanks, Chasly
