This has got to be the strongest, most powerful 12 volt tool on the market.

As an industrial mechanic I’m responsible for repair of large sorting machinery. I got tired of the large 18v drills that were difficult or impossible to get into small areas, so decided to pick this up. It’s used primarily for light-medium drilling and small-medium fasteners, I’ve used it up to M12 fasteners without issue. When using it for drilling I’ve successfully run it through 8g steel with a new sharp 11/32” bit, it had no hiccups and cut easily. The only gripe I’ve found thus far is the directional switch, when engaged to go counterclockwise, I don’t have any problems. However, engaging it clockwise, I often need to push the selector in a bit harder/deeper to get it to engage, it ‘clicks’ into place, but requires a little extra push to actually engage. So far so good, it fits in tight places, has plenty of power for the fasteners I’ve used it on (will try a 15/16” fastener in the future) and it has plenty of oomph to drill through stacked steel.

This little drill has some big power. I was honestly expecting it to be so underpowered that I would never use it, but boy was I wrong. This drill has a lot of power for being a 12 volt tool, it’s size is very convenient and makes it a nice addition to the tool pouch, and the ability to drill over head with a tool like this is very helpful. I won’t sugar coat it, this drill does have its limits. I do wish it had a little more power, but it gets 90% of the work I need done without a problem. It won’t do all the things an m18 will do, but it’s pretty handy when you don’t need a big drill. All in all, I’m very impressed with this hammer drill.

I use the drill when needed and it hasn’t let me down. Runs great and hasn’t gave me problems. Best 12v on the market if you ask me. Best to run any of the 12v tools with a 4.0 battery and up for the extra power and run time!

Great drill. I use it as part of my mobile tool set. Delivers great power for it’s size. Outperforms other brands bigger drills. Love it!!!

I use this, as well as most of my other Milwaukee tools, at my job as a medium/heavy duty mechanic. Battery life is phenomenal, especially with the XC 4.0 in it. Speed control has been great and is easy without your fingers wearing out or getting cramps to quickly. The torque is excellent. I have yet to come across any material, with the right bit of course, that it hasn’t been able to power through with no problems.
