Nice oscillating saw. I have a corded Fein, a cordless Ryobi and an old HF Chicago electric. I decided to try cutting the same piece of scrap with the same blade in all of them and see if there was a difference in speed. I first tried a 1×2 but the Milwaukee cut it so fast I decided to try something bigger. So I cut a 2×4 scrap. That took about 15 seconds with this Milwaukee and the corded Fein. It took at least twice as long as the Ryobi and the HF took well over a minute. The HF and Ryobi would bog down but the Milwaukee and Fein just sailed through the cut. This tool also has a tool less blade change that works pretty well but I like the Fein a little better. They are similar with a top handle you pivot to unlock the jaw but the Fein just pulls out, you have to unthread the Milwaukee. But it doesn’t take long and I could do it with my fingers. The Milwaukee also has 6 little protrusions to hold the blade and the others had only 4. The Milwaukee is also the only one with magnets to hold the blade until you get it fastened down. I then cut a hole for an electrical box with the Milwaukee and it did it well. The hole was in half inch plywood. It is a good tool. To have power comparable to a corded Fein in a cordless is saying something – and it’s only 12V. Good tool.

If you are going to be late to the party, bring a great cuisine not napkins. I feel like this is a trend here, where they are late to the party and the tools are missing major features that others have, while introducing something minor. This is a great tool, the lack of a quicker tool changing mechanism is puzzling to me. It is a tool free system, but not hassle free. My other multi tool allows me to change the blade in about 3 seconds if that. This takes about 20 seconds or so, as you have to push the lever up unscrew the bolt, then rescrew it. There are magnets that help stabilize the blade as you change it. Although this one is friendlier on your thumbs, whereas the others I almost sprained my thumb as I did not apply enough tension to hold it openNowadays when I get a Milwaukee tool my first thought is what packout will I need. This will fit into the small organizer one. I have only 2 bins in there which work for the accessories. I used this tool to create a notch in a piece of 2x also to remove nails. When removing nails, I would not recommend the bi metal Titanium tip use the Carbide tip blade( sold separately). With the carbide I went through several nails and the teeth are still intact. Whereas after 3 the Titanium need to go to the dentist, lost some teeth.I love that you do not have to squeeze a trigger, you can set it and forget it with the on/off switch. Changing speeds is simple, turn dial. For my hands, I would have liked it if the power switch was higher up, where my thumb rest while holding it so I can turn it off /on effortlessly. The LED stays on for 10 seconds after you power down the tool. Just when I thought it could not be anymore troublesome to remove an M12 battery, this comes along. There is rubber molding inside the battery compartment which ensure a nice snug fit, and probably absorbs some vibration but it also adds to the burden of removing the battery. All in all great tool.

Amazing tool. Had the original 18V and this tool is better. Can not wait to get the 18V fuel version.

This 12 volt seems to be more powerful than the 18 volt, Truly, and less vibration for sure, way to go Milwaukee!

Have waited for the second gen tool. Well worth the wait. Works great when using quality blades.

Works better than expected. I have used as finishing sanding of a 60 year old wooden doll cradle. This has cut sanding time by more than half.

The m12 fuel multi tool is awesome. Used my brothers m18 fuel before this new model came out and it was so helpful. Removed all the high bond 3m adhesive from my project like butter! It did however vibrate a lot. Received my m12 fuel with the new vibration reduction and man what a difference. Super smooth and longer comfort. Not a single complaint from this tool and am proud to add it to my Milwaukee line up. 100% recommend to everyone.

If I could give this thing 10 stars I would. I upgraded from a corded inexpensive multi tool to this and the difference is night and day!I have used this every day for the past month just because it is so easy to set up and start using in seconds. I love that I don’t have to have an Allen wrench with me to change to a new blade!I also used this to sand a vanity I just made and it got into all the hard to reach areas that my oscillating sander can’t reach! It also EATS wood while sanding so go easy with it! On its highest setting with the wood cutting blade from Milwaukee it can cut through 2x4s and 2x6s in seconds! I also got a ton of other blades and scrapers to use with it and it handles them all.The vibration is also very minimal on this multi tool compared to my last and is my favorite feature, I can barely feel it even on higher settings and it helps me cut straighter and with more accuracy.I highly recommend Milwaukees new FUEL multi tool and all their attachments! But make sure you have a spare battery or two if you have a large project. This will be one of your favorite new tools, it can do so much and handles itself like a much larger corded tool!

I bought this after reading all the hype about the new M12 Fuel Multi Tool. Compared to my teal which is a workhorse, this one is definitely faster, no doubts. However, this has a more aggressive cutting angle and brushless motor, so increased cutting speed is of no surprise. What is surprising for a premium M12 tool though, is its non-ruggedness. After 5-6 test cuts on studs, the dust is everywhere inside the tool. Look at the photo! The sawdust is even blocking the LEDs from inside! Is that for real, Milwaukee?? Also, the battery insertion/removal is a pain. This is a tool that someone would intend to use with CP batteries for the compactness, portability, and maneuverability, but there’s no way to do a quick battery change once the CP battery is out of juice. Probably the battery clips are going to fail at some point. In summary, this is a strong tool, but I doubt its longevity because of the poor manufacturing of the housing. Kind of a regret really, and will be going back to my dust-proof and overbuilt teal multi tool..

I have the older m12 multi and decided to upgrade for a flooring project that was underway. The tool worked perfectly and the floor came out great. Thanks Milwaukee

This is a review of the Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit with 4.0 Ah Battery, Charger, Accessories and Tool Bag. I really like the improvements made to this tool. I have the previous version, and this one is so much easier to change the blades on. You don’t need a specific hex wrench any more. You can change the blades with any flat item, even a dime. There is an LED light which is nice. I was pretty surprised how much bigger the new tool is. The head is significantly bigger. I do like the rubber around the body that makes it much easier to grip. The new tool seems a little quieter and a lot smoother when running.

It very big for a 12v. I didn’t expect it to be that large. Like the 12v hacksaw, it’s the 18v set up for 12v battery. Still everything they mentioned, but I’ll have to get the old 12v for my smaller detail work. Unless your scraping glue off floors I don’t see the need for the 18v, this 12v should cover it.
