Circular Saw has a cut capacity of 1-5/8 in. for cutting 2x dimensional lumber and delivers up to 170 cuts per charge and up to 2X the motor life of competitive products. The circular saw features a POWERSTATE Brushless Motor outperforms all leading competitors with constant power output, yet runs cooler with no wearable components. REDLINK PLUS Intelligence ensures optimized performance and protects the user’s investment from overload, overheating and over-discharge. The M12 REDLITHIUM XC4.0 Battery Pack provides more work per charge and more work over the life of the pack than competitive batteries. The M12 FUEL 5-3/8 in. Circular Saw features a built in LED light for great cutline visibility and all aluminum guards and shoe for increased durability. This has been an even better saw than I expected. I have used it to miter 2×12’s, trim doors with a fine toothed blade and a straight edge, cuts 3/4″ plywood all day long. It’s quite light and easy to handle, just get it started straight and don’t force it. A really handy tool for anybody with a need to cut wood.

The M12 saw I recently purchased worked great for light use sawing. I purchased that saw because I already have 2 M12 drills with batteries that l can interchange when working on a project. Milwaukee could produce a cutoff wheel that fits the saw for cutting light metal. I was unable to find a compatible wheel for such use. With like accessories the saw would be a 6-star tool.

I love this little saw, instead of grabbing my 7 1/4″ M18 FUEL saw I usually grab this little one, saving the larger saw for more dense or thicker material. This is light, small, and powerful enough for most DIY jobs.

It a good saw especially for the 12v platform. I already have a 18v but realized how handy it be would be to have a second saw. Nice to have two saws and have one on the two different voltage platforms. But definitely not a 18v saw. But works great for what I need and works well.

Bought this based on reviews. Yes this saw does do a decent job on 2x’s but it did slow down a bit as well. It didn’t so well on plywood. Kept getting stuck mid cut and kept having to back out. Maybe the M18 would do a little better.
