The M12 FUEL Cordless Brushless 1/4 in. Stubby Impact Wrench is the industries most compact impact wrench on the market place. Measuring only 5.1 in. in length, this tool fits in tighter spaces, making users more productive. Increased torque delivers an industry leading 100 ft.-lbs. of breakaway torque, removing even the most stubborn bolts and fasteners. 4-Mode Drive Control, will allow unmatched control in various fastening applications. 1-3 RPM allows for precision control, and Auto-Shut Off Mode in the 4th setting will prevent over fastening of bolts while doing reassembly work.

So I am a specialized equipment technician, and a lot of the panels and hoses have lots of smaller fasteners and clamps holding them together. With this stubby, I am able to zip the fastened off much faster than my electric ratchet, and much lighter than its 3/8 brother. I generally let a 1/4 drive 6” extension bit live on the tool. Very good for time saving.

I always wondered why own one of these when I could just use my drill for such jobs? After using it for a while it is clear that it is a great tool for several reasons. Changing bits is quick and easy. The impact really allows you to stay on the screw head without stripping. The speed and torque are better than a drill, as well as the profile. Only bad thing I noticed is that it gets a little hot in heavy use applications. Overall a very valuable tool to have.

I use this ti work on my diesel truck and race cars. The 3/8 has the same tq rating as the 1/2 so there is no need to upgrade and it handles the task great. The 12v fuel stubby is the go to tool for all my automotive jobs
