I’m a auto tech and I use strictly Matco and Snap on this first time I ever purchase Milwaukee I vouch for it as long as you use stubby impacts or shallow no extensions I was able to do complete brakes front and back take off 4 wheels caliper bolts and did front struts only with the small 2.0 batter this impact is a beast love it !!

I was looking for an electric impact that I could swap for my half-inch air impact. I basically wanted to do everything that I could do with air impact. One of the main reasons I got it though was for Lugnuts so I can get away from the air hose. It does really well with Lugnuts. I tried using it on crank pulley bolts and it will definitely not even budge them. They will crack loose subframe bolts and motor mount bolts and even transmission housing bolts so that’s good but you definitely can’t rely on it to take care of all the big jobs which was what I was wanting mainly. Milwaukee does make a half-inch impact that can get the job done but it feels like it weighs 20 pounds and is the size of your arm. They really need to come out with a stubby version that can do Every single job. If they did that I would definitely buy it. I think it’s just a matter of time until they get this impact down to where it needs to be as far as power goes. Overall it does a wonderful job with Lugnuts and some minor bolts here there. I try to remove some strut mounting bolts on the front wheel hub and it simply would not even budge them.So my overall review on this gun is that it works great for the small stuff but it definitely needs more power it needs to be able to takeoff any bolt that she needs to take off on a car. I really hope Milwaukee reads this review and their engineering team takes this into consideration.

Does everything I expect of it in the shop small enough to get behind brake brackets and calipers to remove the bolts, Works on wheel bearing hubs and other close quarter areas on a car and no it’s not a ratchet wrench but still works well and has more torque and nut busting torque. Now what I don’t like is that my big hands hit the direction slide button for the forward and reverse they should put a raised tab just below the button so you don’t hit it accidentally. I still like it and use it every day.
