I have always wanted a wrench that I could count on that had some power. I tried air and corded but some were to big and bulky to get into tight places. Then Milwaukee came out with their different sizes. I use the 1/4 inch extended reach wrench and so far I have had no problems with it loosening or tightening bolts or putting screws (with the proper attachment) in tight places. I was surprised at the power this wrench has. I have had to really hold on to this rascal because it will get out of your hands if your not careful, cause it has that much power. Don’t let the 1/4 inch size fool you. It has the power to do more. It is a great asset to have when working with bolts or nuts in a small space. No more knuckle busting!! It gets right in there and powers the bolt or nut off and out. I love using this tool cause it has a million uses when it comes to fitting tight places. Great tool to add to my metal shop and my wood shop.Milwaukee has come a long way and they really are producing some very good tools for the DIY’er and the professional.

I have been nothing but impressed with all my Milwaukee tools and this set of wrenches is no exception. They’re heavy duty and beautiful at the same time. They nicely fit in your hand and are very functional with the many ratcheting positions and the extra notch-out in the open end of the wrench. I have both the standard and metric sets and use them on a regular basis. I also really like the large ID numbers that allow you to see the wrench you want easily. I’m getting older and have to grab glasses so many times just to see what wrench I’m getting, no longer! They’re a little pricey but this will be the last set of wrenches like this you ever have to buy.

Great in theory. A bit underpowered, but works well after the nut is initially broken loose. Works well to set the nut. Recommend using a standard ratchet to lock it in.

A couple of years ago I passed on my Dad’s vintage Craftsman open end wrenches to my son who had purchased his first car. Since that time I’ve been using a backup set of 20 year old Husky wrenches but when these Milwaukee ratcheting combo wrenches went on sale I jumped on them. It was a good decision as they are built to last and feel “right” in my hands. The MAX BITE open end design provides a secure grip and the fine (144) tooth gearing and double-stacked pawls allow the ratchets to operate in the tightest of quarters (2.5 degrees arc swing). Keep ’em locked up or your friends, family, aquaintances and co-workers will walk away with them!

Very nitpicky issue but the rack they come with is designed to hang horizontally. All the size markings are vertically oriented. The markings on the wrenches are vertical, no problem but the rack should be labelled horizontally since it hangs horizontal.

Quality finish. Quality heft. Large, painted size indicator on each wrench. Smooth ratcheting with small arc swing for tight spaces.I have the SAE set too. The storage case is reversed for the SAE set so the 2 cases fit in a drawer with no wasted space. The hangers are made to be removed if not needed.Home Depot price is far lower than discount online tool sellers.

This wrenches are awesome and have a great grip, especially when doing alignments. The teeth are also a huge help.

Pros: they don’t slip off any nut or bolt, the racheting mechanism has a very small angle of movement and it’s smooth after some useCons: the price. I got them on sale for 40% off. At that price definitely worth it

I had not upgraded my wrenches for 25+ years, after all they came with a lifetime guarentee and they were in good condition. But as I started a minor repair on my Mazda, I found the tight quarters difficult work with them. I was wandering around HD and saw these ratcheting wrenches and thought I’d give them a try, I could always take them back if they didn’t help. Well color me impressed, the ratcheting made it so much easier to navigate in the tight quarters. They literally cut the disassembly/re-assembly time by more than half. The movement of the wrenches is nice and smooth, and they come in a nice case to keep them organized in one place, I so need help in keeping my tools where I can find them. Highly recommended, for the price they are a REAL step up, and time/nuckel saver in tight spaces.

The 2559-21 kit includes the ratchet, one 2.0 a/h battery, a charger, and a soft case (see photo below). The new 1/4″ ratchet offers a fuel gauge, a power on/off switch, an LED light, and a paddle power switch. It also accepts the M12 Extended Capacity battery pack (see photo). The extended capacity batteries are not included with this kit but if you’re using the tool a lot they’re something you may want to consider for longer run times. The extended reach 1/4″ ratchet weighs about the same as the Milwaukee 3/8″ M12 ratchet but, as you can see in the photo, offers a longer neck to reach into places the 3/8″ won’t go as easily. The ratchet head itself is fairly thin, yet plenty strong enough, offering up to 40 ft pounds of torque. The handle is comfortable to hold, even on very cold or very hot days.In use these ratchets have saved me a ton of time and bruised knuckles. I’ve used them on my wife’s car, my 4×4, the snowblower, the lawn mower, assembling furniture and shelving – you name it. For my purposes the cordless ratchets beat the pneumatic tools by a large margin. Since I don’t work in an auto repair garage anymore, being able to take the tool to the work is much better than having to bring the work to the compressor. Not having to trail an air hose or listen to the air compressor cycling is a bonus.I’ve found that the 1/2″ and 3/8″ ratchets are great – but that for some jobs I wanted to use 1/4″ sockets without having to add a reducing adapter. Sometimes it’s not the wrench itself that gets in the way, it’s the sockets and extensions themselves that are hard to maneuver into tight spaces. The one caveat I’d list – plan on buying at least one additional M12 battery if you aren’t already invested in the Milwaukee system. These new Lithium cells last quite some time in use, but when they run out of power they don’t slow down, they just stop working and you’re out of business until they are recharged unless you have another battery. HTHRegards,Jim

Product should have come with advice or at least options for storing this tool set in the new Milwaukee Pack-Out toolbox. The tray shipped with the tools will not fit in any size of the Milwaukee Pack-Out toolboxThe wrench set is very well made with very high quality fit and finish.

I have the regular versions of this tool in 1/4 and 3/8 and seeing the progression of these I almost want to upgrade my oldest one but it just keeps working. I have to work on equipment designed by someone who has never had to service their designs so sometimes it is almost impossible to get to some fasteners. With this I was able to reach under my honey extractor and get all of the fasteners without moving position. I then tried it on some stuff at work and what a time saver, instead of trying to get creative with extensions I could just reach in with this and zip it off. I was also quite pleased with the power, but if you do happen to come across something that needs a bit more you can just use it as regular ratchet. Another little nice feature is the lock switch so you don’t wear out your battery if you drop it in a tool bag on they way to a remote job site. This got a place on my work truck next to the other sizes.

The first thing I check with a new wrench, is how well or close, it fits a bolt or nut. These fit closely and not just on two sides. They fit tightly and grip for better loosening or tightening. The closed end has 144 ratcheting positions. If you’ve ever working in a tight, limited space, then you know how important that is. I have a couple of bolts that are a pain to remove on my mower, so I had to try these wrenches on those. It was the easiest they have ever been to remove and replace. The finish is great on these, like little pieces of art and the sizes are the easiest of any wrench I’ve seen. They aren’t just stamped or engraved, they’re ink filled. They feel comfortable in your hands, even when pressing hard to loosen that stuck bolt. The tray is the neatest. It fits perfectly in your tool drawer, and your selection is quickly and easily removed. The trays are designed to fit next to each other, in the same drawer. You won’t be disappointed with these. They’re my first choice now.

These are officially my ‘goto’ wrenches! Beautifully crafted, heavy duty, and the ratcheting ends add just that much more usability. The sizes for each have what looks like black epoxy in them and make it easy to find the right size. The handles are very comfortable to grasp and the larger ones take to two handed operation without any issues. And they are so hefty I would feel comfortable putting a pipe or other extender on them for more leverage. If one has limited space and can get the ratcheting end on them, the small amount of motion needed from click to click makes it possible, if not time consuming, to get nuts and bolts in tight spaces free.I’ve relegated my other open end/box wrenches to my lower drawers in case I need more than one of the same size. These look so nice all laid out in my tool drawer that I threw the cases they came in away.

The box end is too thick which do not make the wrenches very practical .
