This capable, compact 2598-22 M12 FUEL 2-Tool Combo Kit includes a 1/2 in. hammer drill driver and a 1/4 in. hex impact driver to power through a variety of applications. The tools in this kit weigh only 6.6 and 2.8 lbs., making it a great choice for compact spaces. Furnishing 1700 RPMs and 350 in. lbs. of torque, this two-tool combo kit also includes a M12 REDLITHIUM compact battery back and extended capacity battery pack to deliver more work per charge. It is compatible with all M12 batteries in a system including more than 80 tools. The 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL offers greater control over output speed and power for the ultimate versatility by delivering 0-1,300 RPM in Mode 1, 0-2,400 RPM in Mode 2 and 0-3,300 RPM in Mode 3. Mode 4 is self-tapping screw mode designed to reduce walking when starting self-tapping screws. It also reduces overdriving, breaking and stripping out screws. The kit includes a M12 HACKZALL cordless reciprocating saw.

The hammer drill works great for a camera installer.The impact is good, not great but that’s reasonable. – it worked great on my deck but, trying to remove old weathered tapcons was a fail. Not enough power on the impact.I still think both of these are great.

I’ve owned a few Milwaukee tools but nothing cordless so, I watched and read many online reviews and more times than not, Milwaukee came out on top. Based on the reviews, I decided I didn’t need to spend the extra $$ for the M18 FUEL kit for my DIY projects. I wanted to touch the tools before buying but my local store didn’t have this kit in stock. When I saw a price drop on Cyber Monday, I made a leap of faith and ordered the M12 FUEL kit sight unseen. When I opened the box, I thought I’d made a mistake. The plastic seemed cheap but because of all the positive reviews I’d seen, I decided I was being overly critical. I charged the batteries and got ready to install some cabinets in the laundry room. I found both of the tools to be light and easy to use even with the larger battery installed. I was very impressed with the impact driver which made quick work of the 3″ screws. I haven’t properly tested the Hammer Drill but it worked well to drill a few pilot holes. The forward/reverse lever functioned properly but didn’t have a solid feel when changing direction but maybe I just need to get used to it. Lastly, the bag is not a soft-sided carrying case with straps to hold the tools in place. I’m not planning to carry this kit around so, that’s not an issue for me but it may be for others.

This set is amazing! 1/2 metal chuck and small powerful impact is awesome. Easy to hook on your belt or pants. So good I had to buy it twice! Only downside is that it doesn’t come with the m18/m12 charger. Would be a good idea to get ppl to move into the m18 line.
