I had this model for 3 years now. It’s my first drill and I love it. After a short period of time the chuck became wobbly. Since I was working on project I could not return it. After a while I got the chuck replaced. The issue reminaed. Then the tool was replaced by service. The issue was less pronounced but than it came back. Now I was really upset and shipped my tool to Milwaukee for repair. I got back a newer model. I have to say the light alignment is better. The unit is much smaller and great small case. The power is still there. What I love the most is the new multi-speed chuck. I can control the speed of the drill with the triger with awesome acuracy even in 2 speed. Amazing.——Sadly, the chuck is still wobbly—- Milwaukee I love you and will stay with you a bit longer, (I have many other tools from Milwaukee). BUT PLEASE FIX THE CHUCK. It such an important part of the drill that it needs to stay true and not wobbly. Since this drill has been already updated, I hope the newer model will no longer have that issue.

The new, lowest clutch torque is probably 3 times higher than my old model.Will strip every electrical screw and crush through every light switch plate.The new model is 750 in lbs of torque now. Be careful if you’re reassembling your just repaired dryer at home and not at the construction job site.Not yet tested on Tapcon cement screws.

Like all Milwaukee tools I’ve tried, this hammer drill/driver is really well made. From the case down to the batteries, everything is ruggedly constructed. It includes two XC extra capacity batteries.I think this will just about replace my 1/2 inch drill for everything I had used it for, and likely my corded hammer drill as well for light to mid-duty tasks. I was able to use it all day long on an intermittent basis and not even use half of one battery pack. The only thing I wish it came with which it does not is the screw mounted belt hanger near the battery. I took one off another Milwaukee driver that I had.

I use this drill for pallet projects, things around the house and putting anchors in cinder block. It’s easy to find the right setting for anything and once you set it right it has amazing performance. Great features like the locking action for driver and drill bits, a bright light for working in dim lit spots in my house and the 2 batteries you get with it which charge very quickly and last all day. It feels solid and has good weight. Milwaukee is high on my list of good quality brands. I highly recommend it.

I bought a Milwaukee Magnum corded drill 30 years ago and it is practically like new, but needed a decent impact for portability. This drill is amazing, really cant believe how rugged it is and what it is capable of. A VERY powerful and well build drill. It comes with a belt clip but would be nice if there was some easy way to hang it on a 2×4 beam. Some type of hanger accessory would be pretty handy. Couldn’t be happier this drill is definitely the best I have ever used. Just sayin –
