This hammer drill fights way above its weight class. I have bigger m18 sds plus and sds max hammer drills but this little guy is amazing up to 3/4” holes in concrete. I was skeptical but this thing smokes 1/2” drill/hammer drills. Good investment

I bought this tool a little nervous about size and cordless. I needed a little more then my reg18 volt hammer drill. But at the same time sick of toting arond the big corded one. I have to say i have probally done over a 1000 tapecons. With ease i love the compact size. Verry smoth! Great fit and finish! This tool is a real winner! Thanks milwaukee!

Milwaukee certainly has their stuff together. Not only do they have quality tools for the blue collar workforce, they have made them more affordable, more durable & more dependable making them a leader in the tool market. I do a lot of stonework but I honestly have not done a heavy duty daily beating with this drill…I just have not had it that long, but when I need to tap into concrete, I am certain I have a trusty rotary that I can rely on and not worry about an extension cord or a generator for that matter…this is all based on my experience with a good number of Milwaukee products including the M12 rotary. Since it’s difficult to find someone to do action videos, I took a few short videos with my phone to show what it can do with 60 year old, hard as all get out concrete with one of Milwaukee’s 3/16 in. x 7 in. SDS plus rotary hammer drill bits with 5/6 in. hex drive for concrete screws (Milwaukee Concrete Screw SDS Bit Installation Kit – Model # 48-20-7497) and drilled a bunch of 2 inch deep holes using 1/8-1/4 charge. You will see that one full charge with this rotary hammer will yield quite a good number of 3/16 inch holes (it’s rated up to a 5/8 inch hole but you can expect to get less holes in comparison due to increased size) and with an extra battery (yes, you will need that extension cord or generator), you can alternate charge intervals and continue work without the pesky extension cord while on a ladder and what not. This rotary hammer is powerful and compared to my M12 SDS rotary hammer, it can kick some hard concrete as though you were drilling through an oak board. With what little bit of experience I have had the opportunity with this awesome rotary hammer, I can say that I would highly recommend it every day of the week to those whom could use one in their daily workload. It’s great for those applications like attaching wire lath for foundation stonework, deck installations where ledgers need attached to concrete foundation walls, electrical installations where you must attach to concrete, drop ceiling installations where you need to attached your eye lags into the concrete deck above and the list could go on and on…it’s just that good. It’s not near as heavy as corded versions I have used and is as great if not better than some of the higher-end brand rotary hammers. It’s well balanced one handed, has a metal depth gauge, battery charge indicator and drills with the same power all the way through the last hole when the battery is discharged…it also has a straight drilling function too with a twist of the switch. I am not biased in any way, these Milwaukee tools are genuinely great, dependable tools. The tools support the company by being “nothing but HEAVY DUTY”
