The first thing that struck me about this rotary hammer is just how light weight it is. Don’t let that fool you, this is one powerful cordless tool. I drilled 32 1/2 inch holes in a concrete floor, 8 inches deep, and the battery still showed a half charge. The drill does not have any form of vibration reduction, which is understandable given the price point and weight. This is the perfect tool for drilling overhead, it only weighs a little over 5 lbs!The quick release SDS chuck allows you to quickly change bits just by pulling on the chuck to release the bit.Forward and reverse selection is on the handle, right next to the trigger. This hammer drill can be used as a regular drill, or as a hammer drill. It cannot be used in hammer only mode without rotation (so you can’t use it to chip tile for example).A depth rod is included, and the handle can be rotated to any position. With the battery attached, the drill feels well balanced. The rubberized grip prevents unwanted movement.Plenty of power, a long runtime, and all in a lightweight form factor. Very nice.

it is meant for smaller holes but works great. would probably drill larger holes fine once in a while but it is light weight and sits flat on its battery which is nice for top of ladder

OVERALL:Very lightweight and easy to maneuver. If you are used to an SDS Max Rotary Hammer, this will feel like a electric drill in your hand. Surprising power for it’s size. Part of a great series of tools with interchangeable and powerful batteriesCONTROLS:Simple and obvious. The extra hand hold is just a twist to lock. The forward and back and drill vs hammer/drill are pictures. The depth adjustment is just press down and move, locks well. The pull back chuck makes it easy to change bits on the fly, and keeps the drill well clean.EXTRAS:The LED light that comes on as soon as you press the trigger is a great feature of this series.PERFORMANCE:Great power, like my other M18 tools, power seems incredible for a cordless. Easy to squeeze into tight spaces. Milwaukee has short and long bits that give you some versatility. Do miss the my impact absorbing handle on my SDS Max, and would love hammer only mode, but if you have an SDS Max, you can live without it.
