Very nice hammer drill set from Milwaukee. The set comes complete with a high capacity battery and charger. We purchased the Milwaukee 5-piece SDS carbide bit set (pictured) to go with this drill. Home Depot carries this set on-line and can be shipped to store. The hammer drill had no problem driving the 1/2″ bit into concrete.

I already own several Milwaukee M18 tools, so I decided to pick this up after struggling to drill holes in a brick wall with my regular drill & masonry bit. It worked, but it took much longer and was burning out the bits fairly quickly. This tool handled them with ease. I drilled 100 plus, 3/8″ inch holes on a single charge with no problems. If this is your first rotary hammer drill, one thing to keep in mind that the “SDS-Plus” refers to the style of chuck. Unfortunately, this means your old/traditional style masonry bits probably wont work. They need to be SDS-Plus bits in order to fit this tool. However, don’t let that scare you. It’s is actually quite nice, as it allows for an easy quick-change style, instead of having to twist the chuck tight like on a traditional drill. They just pop in and out, very easy. This does mean you’ll probably need to replace your existing masonry bits with the SDS-Plus style, but they are quite affordable. A set of 5 in various sizes was only $20.
