Love this tool. I’m 70 and have arthritis in my hands and with this tool, I am able to trim my tree branches with ease. My son had one he loaned me and I think I’ve probably almost worn it out so decided to buy one of my own. I can usually do my trimming without having to recharge and that’s a plus for me.

Couple of problems with this tool. The trigger lock has to go. The battery slides in from the side opposite of the drills. Out of balance. Can’t stand the thing up on the battery, it falls over. Otherwise, it’s a handy item.

I bought this tool after watching a plumber make use of it while working down in a muddy hole repairing a broken water pipe. I watched him cut through SDR 35 6″ pipe with ease and he was able to hold the pipe with his free hand so as not to drop it in the mud. I had to have one. At first i thought it may have less power than my much larger dewalt xrp sawzall, I just liked the convenience of one handed operation, but i was pleasantly surprised to find it had more power and a longer run time. The fuel gauge and quick charging make running out of juice an operator error. This beast will chew through any material that your traditional sawzall sees, and more due to its smaller size giving it ability to work in tighter areas. Since this purchase I’ve bought several more Fuel products from Milwaukee (grinder, blower,m12 impact) and have been extremely satisfied with these proud, American, quality products. Puts other power tools to shame.

I purchased this tool to help with pruning small shrubs and trees (especially japanese honeysuckle). I’ve been using the tool for 1 to 2 hours a day for about three weeks and it has done a wonderful job. That said, I had to replace the original battery because it stopped taking a charge during the second week. I’m not sure why. My local Home Depot replaced the battery with no questions asked. I’m using the standard M18 Red Lithium battery that came with the kit. This battery gives me about 20-30 minutes of cutting time with a full charge. It takes about 30 minutes to recharge the battery. If you don’t want to stop working this often, and you can afford it, I would recommend that you purchase a second battery. I have noticed that the battery doesn’t always seat in the charger correctly. Reseating the battery or gently shifting the battery side-to-side seems to solve the problem.

THIS SAW IS VERY LIGHT AND IT MAKES VERY STRAIGHT CUTS. WITH THE RIGHT BLADE ON OF COURSE. ITS A ONE HANDED OPERATION SO YOU CAN HAVE A HAND FREE AND THAT’S A BIG PLUS FOR ME. HOWEVER I WOULD STILL PREFER THE TOP OF THE LINE FULL SIZE 18V VERSION.

I love my hackzall to get into tight spaces where my traditional sawzall will not fit. It doesn’t have the power the sawzall has but is very effective at what it can handle. It is light wight but still has a punch. One handed operation is very easy with this saw.

Everything so good bout this product,,,,excellent…… Except the battery that it come with don’t last to much, would have to buy a bigger version of millwaukee battery, possibly the 2pack version 18volt…. Other than that, it’s a good buy…

the hackzall is awesome except, the battery slides in backwards so you cant stand it up on end. the lock is in a terrible position. every time you lay it down it locks.bad design by Milwaukee. otherwise its really handy.Attention Plumbers: this thing hates water. if you cut a pipe in a basement and get even a little bit of water on it, it stops. good thing is when it dries out it works again.

Great saw,really like it. Handle is great, cuts well. Ordered online ship to store. When I got to the store, the kit with the large (5ah) battery was selling for just $20 more. Sent the saw back and bought the kit in the store with the larger battery. Wasn’t available when I bought online.
