I had previously tried to make the M12 rotary tool work for drywall projects, but this tool is far superior. If you’re doing drywall work, this tool is worth having in your bag. it’s a no brained for doing cut-outs. Even a small battery will get this through the day. it’s fairly hefty (substantially larger than the M12) but it fits well in your hand. As others not, the on/off button is a bit awkward, but it’s better than having to dodge the button when you’re working.Several reviewers not that they break a lot of bits. I initially had this problem. However, I noticed that the “foot” that rests on the drywall was not square to the bit. I bent that into shape, and I haven’t broken a bit since.

4 stars for service 3 stars for the product. They work good but you have to baby it a bit. If you push it too hard they burn out really fast (especially with big window/door bits). Milwaukee has great customer service and I have replace 3 or 4 now with no issue. By the way Dewalt isn’t any better they go out just as fast. There needs to be some R&D in making more durable drywall cut out tools.

Great little tool! The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is the bits included with it broke almost immediately after I started using them on 1/2 drywall. I ended up buying different bits that lasted a lot longer, but the tool itself is great!
