At only 10-1/4 lbs. and 18 in. length, the Milwaukee M18 Band Saw is the perfect tool for cutting metal in place, overhead or in tight spaces. With 3-1/4 in. cut capacity and low vibration, this saw delivers the cleanest, single-pass cuts on the most common materials including strut, 2-1/2 in. conduit, 3 in. angle iron and 3 in. copper and threaded rod without ruining the threads.

As a plumber cutting rod ,copper up to 3” ,pvc 2 1/2 ,cpvc unistrut and angle clips and much more!!!. I had the mikita bandsaw it was lighter than milwaukee but blade breaks and falls off to often and cant cut close to the wall do to its bulky motor on left side … I can cut my wall hung carriers toilets rods 2 1/4 off the wall with ease with this tool one of my favorite tools from milwaukee a must have if your a plumber . And build to last i drop the tool of a 8’ ladder and pick it right up and went back to work (heavy duty is a under statement )!!!!!!!! For this BEAST !!!

This item has to be ordered and is not sold at the local store. The surprising thing was, the band or blade for the saw is also not sold in the store. It to needs to be ordered. The Band Saw itself, is great. So far it cuts good, quick and straight. A tool well worth the money spent.

A little louder than I thought it would be but it has a great quick and clean cut! I’ve had it for about two weeks and the blade couldn’t be easier to install. The built in light is a great feature and I definitely think this tool was built to last!
