This lithium-ion cordless 6 in. circular saw is designed for powerful lightweight cutting for a range of applications from plumbing and electrical to framing, finishing and carpentry. This high-performance saw delivers extreme durability. Its 3,500 RPM motor swiftly and easily cuts through materials, such as LVL headers. Magnesium upper and lower guards protect the blade if it drops, and it features electronic brake stops. So far it’s been working like a champ but as I learned from past battery chargers is you need to remove the full charged battery once the charging cycle is done. If not your batteries will die out prematurely if you leave it on an energized charger. So now I only buy Milwaukee Power Tools because the previous power tool company i was loyal to (think blue) said their chargers were “smart” and stopped charging the battery when full…well their blue charger was full of ****… Only buy Milwaukee and you save dollars in the long run…

I’m a veteran carpenter. This is the 3rd 6 1/2″ Milwaukee I’ve owned. All of them are being used. I remove the guards and install a 7 1/4″ blade on them. My original is 19 years old, the 2nd one is a Fuel model which has been to warranty repair twice at no charge, noteven shipping. I like this newest one only 100.00 bucks super quiet saw, just keep sharp blades on it. Use dull blades when cutting nail or screw infested wood.Using high output batteries is a plus.

This saw is very convenient out of the box but once you go to cutting something you better have put on a better blade and a bigger battery or else you won’t be cutting through anything thicker than a 2×4

Saw is great for my purposes (hobbyist) and keeps up with my use. If I were cutting a lot more, or overhead a lot, I’d get a corded saw as it can little heavy with the battery on it.
