I love this tool! I’m just a hobby metalworker so it was a difficult decision to buy this at $300. I’m glad I did. So far, I’ve used it on 16 gauge galvanized sheet metal to build an HVAC distribution trunk for my home system and I’ve used it to cut lighter gauge aluminum sheet. Cuts very easily through both and it’s very agile. I’m able to cut curves without any issues. This is one of those kinds of tools that you will spend a lot of time debating whether you should get it because it’s so expensive but after you get it you’ll ask yourself why you didn’t get it sooner.

First I must say I was skeptical as to just how well this cordless shear would work. I cut some ag metal roofing with it and my oh my how it will save time from hand snips. It literally cut sheet metal like a hot knife through butter and curls the scrap outward away from you hand. It worked so well, I decided to just use it to trim some heavy 12ga hangers and it chewed right through them…though I do not recommend it, you now know just how powerful they actually are. The head even swivels to allow adjustment to the material you are cutting for your own comfort with handle placement be it lefty or righty. I am going to continue to use these for metal roofing jobs and my sheet metal bodywork for hot rod projects on the weekends of tinker time. I highly recommend these shears to all those out there doing ductwork, metal buildings and roofs and those hot Rodders doing body work…they are just fantastic.

Cuts through 1/8” aluminum like butter. It’s not really designed to make turns or curves with when cutting but if your careful and patient you can make some really nice ones.

This is a nice tool. You can feel the quality when you pick it up. Heavy duty stuff here. It’s powered by the dependable 18v Lithium-Ion battery, it’s cordless, which means you can easily take it anywhere. It has a very comfortable handle design and the head rotates 360 degrees, no tools needed. I enclosed on side of my shed and used this to do the trimming and fitting. I had been dreading this, but this made it a breeze. No need for the hand shears any more. Never used them once. This made the job so much easier. The blades quickly and smoothly slice through with little effort. The trigger is variable speed, so choose the speed that fits and it has a belt clip, so you can keep it handy. It comes with a 5 year warranty, can’t see me ever needing that. A nice bag to carry and store the charger, battery and of course the tool itself. It’s a heady duty piece of equipment. It’s Milwaukee. Haven’t been disappointed by anything from them yet.

This tool is GREAT! I made many cuts through 16 Ga Galvanized steel and this thing goes though it like a hot knife in butter. Like all double cuts she does not like to make tight turns, but straight cuts are a breeze. Battery life is also excellent. Very pricey, but worth every penny.
