I decided I was going to re do my kitchen cabinets and do it the right way. I had never used a power sander before but this had threat reviews so I went with it. It’s a great little sander and packs a lot of power. The variable speeds are handy too. It stripped my dark stained cabinets bare to the maple within minutes on one whole side. Finish was nice and smooth and I don’t have to switch to a fine grit to achieve that. I would recommend you use this tool outside or in a shop, as it did kick out a ton of dust and the dust cover blew off several times. But it did an excellent job! Power tools aren’t just for men!

Feels like a real tool in your hands

Works great and nice and light to use. One of the best things is the ease of use because of the lack of a cord and the fact it works with my already plentiful m18 batteries

The sander itself works well, cordless life on a 3.0ah battery is respectable. I used this to sand my kitchen cabinet frames. Unfortunately, the dust collection system is horrid. Hooked up to a Makita dust collector, the sander still throws a decent amount of dust out the ports around the front of the sander from time to time. The worst part is that the proprietary connector (square) for the dust collectors is extremely weak and only pushes in without a clasp of any sort. So what happens is that the hose connection eventually falls out of the sander, very annoying. If you’re using a dust collector avoid this sander. If you’re using the included dust box, it’s probably fine.

Bought this sander because I needed to take the finish on a set of double doors down to the grain, Using 60 grid sanding decks this was made very easy. I used 2 4 hour battery packs and 2 hour pack to get the job done. Very reliable and I highly recommend this tool. I changing all my power tools to Milwaukee!

Just a great sander. Paper is easy to change and M18 battery is great if you have other Milwaukee tools. Saves time and money, and that’s the name of the game.

I sanded my entire car from factory paint to body filler , epoxy primers . I’ve even used this sander wet sanding with great results. I have other sanders but they seldom get used . When I need sanding done M18 orbital is the one I grab!

This is a great purchase. But there are 2 things I wish would be improved but very minor. First the dust collector will come off if not seated properly. Second, with the dust collector on, you can only fit 5.0 batteries or smaller. I tried with my 6.0 HO and the dust collector will not seat. Otherwise, my wife and I were able to use it and achieve great results.

Got this as a “free” tool with a battery and charger kit. Been looking to replace my old corded sheet sander with a cordless random orbit sander and this did no disappoint. Sander comes with two sheets of 80 grit sandpaper, dust collection unit, extension for the dust collection and also a shop vac hookup.Sander is variable speed so that’s very helpful when sanding different materials but I generally just leave it on the lowest setting. Feels good in the hand, allowing you to either grip the top or grip the side. Thought was put into creating the dust collection as it comes with an extension piece so if you use larger batteries you will still be able to fit it properly. Although with the larger batteries it will essentially weight as much as the tool bare so while large batteries will provide a good run time, the weight is significantly increased, even with a 6ah which I used with this sander. 3ah will probably be the sweet spot for weight to duration.Slight downside, I had the disc itself get a bit squeaky when slowing down becaue there was dust trapped between the unit and the oscillating part of the unit. So i had to remove the sanding pad and the unscrew the hook and look part to clean out the other side of the tools pad. It still worked perfectly fine throughout but I just got annoyed with the squeaking sound when I turned off the sander.Overall a great product, sands very well, dust collection collects a large majority of the dust and price is equivalent to other brands out there while providing a higher quality sander.
