Have always been a Milwaukee tool fan, but when I first brought this tool kit home I encountered issues with charging the batteries. The instructions describe the condition of the charger flashing red/green as being indicative of a faulty battery. The first kit had 1 battery doing this. Brought it back for a straight up exchange. No problems there. The second kit had both batteries flashing red/green on the charger. Very discouraging. Brought it back this time for a refund. Again, no problems there, the Home Depot staff being very helpful. Was looking for an alternative kit in a different brand (didn’t really want to as I really liked the Milwaukee features) when a Milwaukee factory rep just happened to be there and struck up a conversation with me trying to persuade me to buy Milwaukee. I explained my experience to him and he was very concerned about it all. He took the time to go over to the returns and get them out to inspect the returned tools for any issues. It turns out that when putting the batteries on the charger, I just wasn’t placing them on forcefully enough to make a good electrical connection thereby triggering the faulty battery signal. Happily, I re-bought the Milwaukee, brought it home, placed the batteries on the charger with more force and found no further issues. maybe this should be added to the user manual to prevent anyone else from having this experience. Kudos to the friendly, helpful, and patient Home Depot staff, and especially to the Milwaukee rep who took the time to resolve this. So far it’s working great and looking forward to using this tool for years to come.
