I have been keeping an eye on a new drill and driver when this popped up as a cyber week special. I opted to pick up the driver and wait for a comparable drill special in the future.This thing is great. Lots of power and drives fast. Even with the speed set to 1 you’ll be impressed. As others mentioned I prefer this style speed switch on the base of the unit.I can understand where some reviewers comment on the quality, however, I feel this is all relative in the industry and Milwaukee still has a higher build quality than the rest in my opinion. If you’re looking for a rugged little powerhouse, this is your driver.

I’ve used Milwaukee products for 50 years and I still have and use my drills today. I have purchased and used many different Milwaukee tools over these years, 20+ years as a electrical contractor, 10+ years in my electric motor rewind company, and selling Milwaukee tools in my electrical wholesale company for 23+ years, and now in helping my son build street rods. The new improved cordless tools are well built and with the new improved batteries last longer per charge. I like that you have full power up to the point that they need recharging. I have never been disappointed in any of my Milwaukee tools. As I stated above that I have some of the Milwaukee I purchased 50 years ago, I still have and use, 1/2″ corded drills, 3/8″ drills, 3 sizes of hammer drills, and many others that were purchased over the last 10 years, all of them cordless.

I have three of these, bought the other two used and gave those to my boys. This is an awesome tiem. Can be uses for working on cars to working around the house or at the ranch. I take it with me every time I go to the deer lease. If you ever buy one of these, you will never buy another brand. This is absolutely the bes drill I have ever owned. I have one in 1/2 drive for working on cars, hold charge for what seems like forever. The yellow one I had I threw away as I had issues with the battery..never had that issue with this one…
