The M18 Cordless 3/8 in. Compact Impact Wrench is the most powerful 3/8 in. compact impact wrench in its class and offers the best power to size ratio among like competitors. Featuring a Milwaukee built 4-Pole frameless motor and optimized impact mechanism, this impact driver delivers up to 2,450 RPM, 3,350 IPM and 167 ft. lbs. of fastening torque for class-leading performance. REDLINK Intelligence provides optimized performance and overload protection using total system communication between tool, battery and charger. The M18 Cordless 3/8 in. compact impact wrench features a 3/8 in. Friction Ring anvil for fast, tool-free socket changes, an LED Light to illuminate work surfaces, and includes an all-metal, reversible belt clip for temporary tool storage. The REDLITHIUM Battery Pack delivers more work per charge and more work over pack life than the competitors. Excellent tool! I’ve been an auto tech for 33 years and I have used many power tools in my life, the majority have been pneumatic tools because cordless tools have never been powerful enough and the batteries were terrible and took forever to charge. Milwaukee has hit out of the park with this tool!

This is a solid tool, and works great just like my other Milwaukee tools. It’s good for repetitive light duty work, or intermittent medium-duty work, but not suited for heavier jobs. For example most of the time I find it way faster to remove the lug nuts on my cars with hand tools. This impact will remove them, but it takes several seconds to break them loose. On my diesel truck, it will eventually break the lug nuts free, but it really has to hammer away. But, there are so many places where this IS faster and/or more convenient – working in confined areas, road trips, off-roading, and when your arms are just tired!The battery is almost overkill for this tool, and it lasts a long time on a single charge. The trigger has good speed control, and a good usable range. The one thing that worries me is the motor. It’s a standard brush-type motor, and I still smell it burning each time I use it. Hopefully it’s just temporary as the brushes wear in.Comes with a nice belt hook, and the LED light is really bright and very useful – I can image this being a lifesaver at night if you had to change a tire on the road.
