The REDLITHIUM Extended Capacity Battery Pack delivers more work per charge and more work over pack life than the competitors, as well as best-in-class performance in extreme jobsite conditions. You’ll get consistent speed control between 0-1900 RPM and 0-2200 IPM with the variable-speed trigger. The 2662-22 has a 1/2 in. anvil with detent pin to ensure maximum socket retention. The M18 Impact Wrench’s onboard, real-time battery fuel gauge helps you monitor the charge precisely, so there’s less downtime on the job. This little baby rocks! Light weight, powerful, quiet, and extremely handy. I took 40 lug nuts out ( two cars wheels) using the compact battery in few minutes with no problem at all. It would be nicer if Milwaukee added a plastic case (at least) to this product! If you already have the charger and battery from Milwaukee M18 series, this product is a king in its category in comparison to other brands. Highly recommended. One thing to consider before purchasing is that, the regular compact old version of M18 series batteries won’t fit this impact wrench and you have to buy the XC High capacity for it. The reason is that, the old version of M18 series batteries come with two detentes while the XC High capacity has only one, therefore, you will not be able to slide the battery all the way to the end. In my particular case, I had to file one detent of the old compact battery. Ironically, the new M18 Red Lithium- Ion series comes only with one detent and fits all “compact and heavy duty tools”.P,S: Here I have added a link so you can see whats the issue with detentes. http://www.coptool.com/blog/2010/06/milwaukee_m18_batteries_compac.html

I love this tool. Very strong but lightweight. I would strongly recommend this impact. My only complaint is the détente pins don’t last very long. I didn’t want to get the friction ring because I work in the air. Last place you want to have a socket fall off. The détente pins wear to a point making it difficult to remove sockets. Maybe use some harder steel.

Been a car fanatic for a while and had some of the m18 line for around the house stuff. Got this when I was hired at a local dealership. One month of constant use in this thing is simply incredible. If you use torque bars to reattach lugs you will go through the battery a little quicker, maybe 4-5 rotations per charge. I hand torque so I charge the battery maybe once every 3 days or so. And that’s with constant use. Have used colleagues air wrenches and there’s no difference I can feel. This thing is a beast.

I work in a heavy repair shop and this is one of our most used tools! will break loose almost any lug nut or engine mounting bolts, almost anything you can think of under 3/4″. handles much nicer than a Dewalt of similar size and dosnt have stupid rocker trigger switch.

This is the baddest impact gun I’ve ever used. It’s extremely powerful, and heavy yet nicely balanced. I use it for working on my car, specifically taking wheels on and off a lot (I do some weekend racing). 450 foot pounds of power has never let me down taking off lugs as well as most other fasteners on the car. Use it and feel manly! I worked on my wife’s car a few weeks ago, and not only did the job get done, she told me she loved a dirty man using his tools.

I have had Milwaukee since 1971 and everyone is great. This is the second impact but the first was NiCad. This one is stronger, harder hitting and lasts a lot longer in the field. Makes lug nuts a snap to take off. Great out in the barn for working on the equipment and in the field. Hands down, the best I’ve ever had. I own a very busy mobile mechanics business, cordless tools are a life saver. I purchased this one after reading all the reviews and researching different brands. I have used cheaper ones (Ryobi and Craftsman) and have been very disappointed, I have used the Snap-On one, and was impressed but didn’t like the battery life. I decided to purchase this one, it has not yet let me down! I haven’t drained the battery in a single day yet! Takes off the rustiest, worst lugnuts such as old 4wd Rangers and beat-up AstroVans to name a few. Works on crank bolts and cam bolts without stuttering.If you are thinking about buying it, do it!
