I love this driver. It’s great for working on wall studs in tight spaces. My only complaint is that the speed selector won’t stay locked in to place. It’s too easy knock the selector into a different position by either bumping the tool or inadvertently hitting the switch. If it had a more positive locking switch for the speed selector this tool would be a 5 star all the way.

Previously had been using the cordless ratchet but it wouldn’t stand up to daily use in auto repair. This is more durable.

I bought this tool online and had it delivered to my nearest Home Depot store so I could try it out for a week. As a mechanic for a local dealership, I was able to put it through some normal everyday repairs before I decided to return it. I have a set of Milwaukee M12 3/8 and 1/4″ cordless ratchets that I use daily and I love them both but I was hoping this tool would provide additional power that the cordless ratchets didn’t have. I was greatly disappointed. While its very useful in removing and installing nuts and bolts with speed- it lacks any serious torque required to break them free. The fact that the head doesn’t lock for manual final tightening or initial loosening – means lots of power is necessary for this tool to have any useful function. I tried it on several 12-14mm radiator support bolts that were moderately torqued and this tool could not break them free. I couldn’t justify keeping this tool just for the added speed alone. I’m sure this tool would do better with different materials like working with wood and lag bolts, etc.. As an auto mechanic, I found Milwaukee’s 3/8 and /14 cordless to be more useful for me.

Very nice tool. Fits into small spots where a traditional impact won’t. It has more power than a cordless ratchet but it doesn’t have the power of a conventional impact either. For homeowner and shade tree mechanics, I highly recommend this tool.

This goes on my “Top 10” list of most useful tools in my toolbox. In just one week, I’ve found myself reaching for this wrench more times than I can count. It’s well balanced, and just feels like high quality. The anvil is supported by a large bearing, and the anvil spins perfectly true with no looseness. It seems to fit everywhere. The head is compact and fits in some pretty tight spaces; less than 3 inches of clearance is needed, and if you use short sockets, you could probably fit it into a 2-1/2 inch space. The friction ring holds sockets really well. I’ve never had one accidentally fall off.The trigger design is great, it’s a long bar that’s easy to use with gloves; it has two sweet spots, one works well when holding the handle closer, the other works well when your hand is closer to the battery. There’s about an 8 inch reach when holding it near the battery. Speed control is excellent. The slowest speed gives enough control to easily align a socket. The built in work light is perfectly placed, and shines exactly where it should when using it in dim light. The direction switch is easy to use with gloves, but recessed and far enough out of the way to avoid accidental changes. The speed / torque control is electronic, not the typical mechanical gear reduction. So the max torque is available at the max speed setting, opposite of a geared setup. I found that this works well – it keeps you from over-spinning small fasteners, where the rotating inertia of the wrench could strip them. It’s got the power to break most normal bolts loose and snug them up without overtightening. The ‘low’ setting gives you a max of 30 ft-lbs, and the high 60 ft-lbs, which is the perfect torque range for typical bolts found by the DIYer.This comes with the standard M18 battery. It also works with the other larger capacity M18 batteries, if you happen to have other M18 powered tools. It’s a great addition to the power tool collection.

In my opinion, Milwaukee is the best there is as far as battery operated power tools. They seem to have covered just about every aspect of a tool that u can think of. My experience with one that my uncle has (I don’t recommend that anyone try it though) but, I had left one of his drills outside in the rain, the next day he found it and let it dry out before he used it again. Surprisingly it still worked and he still uses it til this day. I then went out and bought a combo myself. I feel like I made the best move to go with MILWAUKEE!!!

This is a great idea that falls short with respect to power. Milwaukee has rated this at sixty foot-pounds and you will be lucky to take off a bolt torqued to 35 foot-pounds. This would matter less if the thing locked so that you could use it like an air ratchet by applying arm power but it doesn’t so this lack of power really matters. It can get into very tight spots and that’s a big advantage but you’re normally going to have to loosen the bolts you want to remove first before this will spin them off.

Great case like most Milwaukee products. This is really handy for getting into small spaces with tons of power. It is going to come in very handy for a lot of situations where my regular impact driver just would not fit. The trigger is nice and long so you can grip the tool in multiple ways to keep it stable.

Not as powerful as expected but decent. You can’t use it to loosen a tight bolt because of the way it ratchets. Batteries last a long time. Not a bad tool.

I built a coffee table using this wrench kit and it did exactly what I needed it to. I really liked that it was easy to control in terms of speed and it was also easy to hold in the tight spaces. Not only was it easy to grip, but I liked that it had the power that I needed without applying a lot of pressure myself. It was also great that were not any bulky cords to get in the way considering it is cordless. I have only used it several times, but the quality seems extremely good. I thought over $200 was a little expensive, but it definately cut down on the time it would take to do the job (not to mention some of the frustrations) and I expect to get a lot of use out of it.
