I gave this tool to a team of industrial electricians. These guys had to install over a dozen motors, none less than 300HP. With soft starters, VFDs, line filters, switchgears and etc, there were over 100 crimps to make. They crew said the crimper was awesome and they were pleased with how well it worked with the #8 and 600MCM. Milwaukee is king in the world of industrial electricians and having a crimper on the M18 makes life easier. My role is a project engineer and let me say that this tool is a must. About 1//3 of the crimps were hard to reach because of tightly packed enclosures, confined space, or up in the ceilings. The M18 force cimper can quickly get in, crimp, and get out. The speed at which the manufacturing line can get back saved several hours – paying for itself many times over. We cannot afford to not have this tool.Thank you Home Depot where the industrial catalogs couldn’t deliver quickly.

Incredible. This is the one word that comes to mind when I talk about the Milwaukee 2679-750C crimping tool.A member of the Milwaukee “force logic” line of M-18 battery operated tools, includes a full line of light weight hand tools that all have interchangeable 18 volt batteries and built in GPS feature that can help you locate each tool with an app for your smart phone. The 2679-750C is an amazing bit of engineering incorporating a hydraulic pump/piston into a hand held tool that can crimp most anything you can think of that might require it. Creating 750 MCM of crimping power to the piston, this isn’t a toy, has some serious power.Apparently developed for the electrical industry, I think its main focus was for attaching terminals to cable, such as eyelets and other terminations varying sizes of cable. As my photos will show, it’s adequate for this job. This typically was done using a hand held crimping tool as large as a pair of heavy bolt cutters. A somewhat tedious job, once you trimmed your cable, locate your terminal, and apply it to your cable, often, wishing you had at least one extra hand, place it all into the crimping plier and then muscling them closed to permanently attach the terminal to the cable. And with any luck, that all went smoothly the first try. This tool simply requires you to select the proper set of crimping dies and inserting them into the jaws and you’re ready to go. This particular set includes 16 sets of dies and 2 sets of jaws. 15 die sets use the jaw set the tool comes with already attached. Then 1 set of dies that uses the larger jaw set. There is space in the case for another 4 sets of larger dies. Each die set has its own space in the case which is color coded and tagged. Milwaukee includes color coded tags for the others should you find you want or need them. I believe they also sell a set that includes all of the available dies. But if you’re not sure you need to go that large, (as I did) start with this set. You can always order larger dies later. As I said, think this was engineered mainly for heavy electrical work. However, I’ve found it works on a variety of applications. I’ve made cables for electric powered equipment and service panels. But also tried it on PEX plumbing fixtures and found it works perfect. I’ve made air hoses and tested over 200 PSI without leaks and no more hose clamps on my air hoses, which have a tendency to loosen and pop off. Plumbing tubing doesn’t come near the kind of pressures as an air hose. While Oetiker clamps had recently become my go to for PEX tubing (plumbing and sprinkler systems) over the old copper collars, I may go back to the collars due to the ease, speed and reliability of using this tool. When using the crimper, it can’t be over crimped, has an automatic piston release. But also it has a single button manual release to draw back the piston. These features become self-evident as you acclimate with its use as you may find you want to rotate your piece a bit and re-crimp, or you may want a double crimp by slipping your piece in or out just a bit and hitting it again. At first this may seem like a tool for commercial outfits including electricians, plumbers automotive and many other types of mechanicals. But if you’re an all-around repair type as I am, you’ll soon find it a fanntastic investment that will be your go to tool probably until you permanently retire. The carry case houses, the tool, 2 batteries, a charger, all the dies and jaws. A simply remarkable piece of equipment.

This has to be one of the best tools on the market. As always, MilwaukeeTools are built to perfection. This new cable crimper produces crimps that conform to literally all of the UL standards currently in use. There were 16dies included in this set, with room for 4 additional dies to be added as needed. Each of the dies actually crimp the wire size right onto the connectorafter crimp is completed. The well designed jaws also hold the connector inplace for instant alignment, and creates the exact amount of force needed onevery crimp. A safety feature ensures that there is enough battery power to complete each crimp, before the action takes place. This piece of equipmenthas more features than any other professional crimper on the market. Our electricians happened to come by the shop a few days ago, and voiced theiradmiration and awe, after having examined this product. There is a safety hook at the topfor use while climbing ladders, that not every tool has. The two batteries that areincluded with this Crimper Kit is an added bonus, in my opinion. The battery charger can also be used to charge my Milwaukee M-12 flashlight battery at the same time. Included in most all of the newer Milwaukee tools is the safety feature used to track tools should theybecome misplaced, or stolen. They can also be locked via your cell phone, to prevent usage. I haven’t quite figured out how to generate historical data, but all the safety features you could ask forare already included. Kudos to Milwaukee Tools for quality and workmanship, and attention to detail in every product they manufacture. Very highly recommended!!!

Great crimping tool and accurate. So many awesome features to it but the best feature for me is it made the job get done faster and accurate. It has one key and that is real good to keep track of it in case of theft and keeping track of service records. Really simple to use and the tool has a force monitoring to make sure the crimps are done properly each time. Switching dies is quick and easy for different size wiring. Battery life is real good and the tool is brushless. It came with two 2 ah batteries and at first I thought I would use my 5’s with it but the smaller batteries worked just great. It even has a loop on the end of the tool to hook it to my tool belt as I move around and work. Feels heavy duty and should last a very long time. It worked perfectly with every crimp so far and later i want to get some of the accessories like the cutting jaws for it. So many good things put about this tool but my favorite is how it speeds up the job, versatility in different sizes, and doing it right the first time. Tool will pay for itself. If they add some plumbing jaws (like pex, and copper press) available later to this tool it will make it that much better.

Well, I have struggled to write a review on this one. I did not know what I was getting until it arrived. Thank goodness that I have a union electrician friend that came over and drooled on it and demonstrated it for me. This unit is rock solid Milwaukee quality and works well. It arrives undamaged and in great shape packed well in cardboard and plastic for the batteries. I nice surprise with 2 mini batteries inside it and I have seen pictures of its work at industrial sites. It is powerful but not too heavy with a great reputation. That friend has requested to “borrow” it but I am not sure that I am allowed to do to that or will see it again based on his excitement over it. If you are an electrician you will love this!!

Very easy to use. I would recommend this Milwaukee M18 cordless crimper kit for those who want to know that the crimp was done correctly.A green light comes on which indicates the crimp was done at the proper crimping pressure. Also the blue tooth/one key Milwaukee app keeps track of total number of cycles (crimps) & number total number of full pressure cycles (crimps) that this tool has performed. Many other features makes this tool a must have for any electrical contractor who crimps wires.

I will start by saying that I am very impressed with Milwaukee tools. I have not been unhappy with anything that bears their name. I have not done any electrical installation in a bit, so I bought a few things to put this through its paces. I charged up the battery and went to crimping. WOW! There is a video, I believe that it’s on YouTube that shows you all the wonderful things about this and its data recording ability. I didn’t bother checking out the data part, but I will attest to just how wonderfully this functions. I would like to have had it when I was a younger man. I came back after looking at the pros to check. Strong Suction? This doesn’t suck metaphorically or in real life. It is a very good tool.

This crimper lives up to Heavy Duty. Not only is this beast easy to use, it is also easy to swap out dies as well. For the size and strength of this unit the battery life is very impressive, all day for me. For larger wire this takes 1/2 of the time then the old way, which I’m never going back. The case does an excellent job of holding everything in place. Batteries are interchangeable with other M18 volt Li-Ion batteries, one battery for all jobs.

After years of making cables with outdated technology I have finally joined the 21st Century. This tool is amazing for how quickly and precisely it crimps. I make cables for a variety of applications ranging from heavy truck and equipment to stationary power equipment and refrigeration systems. Depending on where I am I use hammer crimpers, various pliers, and older hydraulic crimpers if I have the space. With this system I don’t need any of the above as this is easily portable and offers one-handed operation once a lug is fitted into the die. I hope to get many years of service from this tool and the fact that I can purchase additional dies for other applications makes it even better.

Wow this is the most impressive tool I have ever owned by Milwaukee. All your tools are the best but this one definitely by far the best one ever. I have yet to use it, but read all about it. The easy-open jaw for fastest repetitive crimping is one the features I like best. Easy is good! The hydraulic systems performance that goes from 0 degrees F to-122 degrees F is amazing. Milwaukee always seems to amaze me.

I received my M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless FORCE LOGIC 600 MCM Crimper Kit with 750 MCM Expanded Jaw. I came packaged very good. First of all this kit is definitely complete. The first thing I did was charge the batteries. Then I read the instructions a couple times to learn the Do’s & Don’t’s. I picked up a roll of #2 gauge wiring & some #2 terminals. I’m fabricating some new battery cables for my CJ5 Jeep because the stores don’t have the lengths I need. The crimper was easy to install the dies & crimp the terminals. This machine does perfect job on the crimps. Anyone working with wiring that is #8 gauge or bigger this is the tool for you. This tool is amazing.

This unit is extremely technical and precise. It stores data of its real-time crimps to the cloud. It even uses Predictive Force Monitoring to assure correct pressure each and every crimp. Honestly it is much more than I expected and am just amazed and overwhelmed at the power this unit produces. This kit comes with an assortment of crimping dies, (Dies are the Milwaukee U Style Dies), crimping jaw and two-M18 Redlithium CP2.0 battery packs, also a M18 and M12 Multi-Voltage Charger, and a heavy-duty Milwaukee carrying case. This Force Logic 600 MCM Crimper Kit with 750 MCM Expanded Jaw is best suited for the professional that will use this Crimper in his or her field of work on a daily basis not so much for the novice which I am with this particular tool. That being said I am still delighted to own the tool and knowing that when I need to crimp a cable, I have the unit that will do the job perfectly each and every time. I have many Milwaukee tools that I have and love and use with confidence. And what is great about this brand is that they work on the same Redlithium battery packs.

The Milwaukee Cordless Force Logic kit number 2679-750C has every wire size that you will come across in the field. The kit has three additional places for dies on wire over 750 MCM, and a slot for the 750 MCM wire cutter. The One-Key is a great feature for you to maintain your Milwaukee tool inventory, track the settings, and monitor tool life.I have used a manual crimper for many years. The biggest issue was to maintain a correct connector fit while trying to hold both crimper handles to crimp the fitting. Larger wiring required an assistant to make sure the connector remained in position while crimping. Hydraulic sets were a little better but you still needed an assistant to pump the cylinder while you held the crimper head in place. The Milwaukee Cordless Force Logic crimper allows you to hold and crimp the connector without the need for assistance. the crimper puts a positive crimp that is consistent from one crimp to the next. This tool requires recalibration after 40,000 crimps.

My M18 18-VOLT LITHIUM-ION CORDLESS FORCE LOGIC 600 MCM CRIMPER KIT WITH 750 MCM EXPANDED JAW arrived and I am very impressed with this crimper. Milwaukee has done a great job with this kit. I first crimped #8 wire which is the smallest size this kit will crimp, and it was fast and easy to do. Just a few seconds and it was crimped perfectly. The dies slip in the head easily and are retained so they can’t slip out. This is hydraulic and monitors pressure constantly to give you perfect results. Pull the trigger when ready and in seconds the light turns green and you’re done. The unit with battery installed is approximately 8lbs and is noticeable using on the small#8 wire but even less noticeable using on bigger wire. I really love this crimper and highly recommend it!This kit is impressive, Milwaukee included 2 cp 2.0 Red Lithium batteries and charger and a 750 MCM head all with a fantastic blow mold case. Awesome!

This is a beast. Very fast and easy one hand operation. No more hammers or indent tools. No more giant crimpers of different sizes. The best of all you only need two hands, hold the wire and hold the tool, the tool holds the lug, and the tool only needs one hand to operate. I have always hated the balancing act of trying to use both handles on the crimp tool, holding the wire in place, and trying not to drop the wire lug.The crimper is small, compared to other crimpers and you don’t need any leverage to operate it. This allows you to get into very tight spaces when needed and have no issues at all.The dies themselves are also perfect. The design, surface finish, and size allows for the best crimp every time. The jaws hold the die in place and are extremely easy to swap out when needed.Pop in the die, place the wire lug, set the wire, pull the trigger, and green light done. Takes seconds to crimp wire lugs, really is a vast improvement on the traditional way of doing things. You can also get the cutting jaw to go with this kit and have the ultimate tool for the job.

Compact and powerful, this crimper completes the job in a few seconds. The assortment of dies included applies to battery cables, welding cables, equipment leads, and equipment and building grounding wires, machinery umbilicals and panel-board / switch-gear work. It’s utterly simple to use! An LED indicator signals when a satisfactory crimp is complete. The reasonable user’s only obligation is to preserve the material condition of the dies. Along those lines, cleanliness of them – and the jaws – is paramount. Works well with a variety of termination brands. It will crimp special terminations – like welding machine plugs – that have trade size ferrules / barrels. The head is small enough – and the tool sufficiently agile – to work within enclosures. Here the attached work lights are valuable. I also splice repaired abused cables in machinery harnesses without disassembly. (We later replaced the cables during machinery downtime.) The sleek head readily crimped new taps onto embedded ground wires with limited working room. It looks like my hydraulic crimper will only be used where this new-fangled one is not available. The case is well-planned to protect both tool and dies. Having the charger and spare battery at the ready is a plus. Some may think the tote is bulky, but the labor savings makes mobilizing this kit well worth the effort. In fact, a greater number of crimps are being made at the bench versus afield. One-Key is a welcome feature addition to this ‘high demand’ and ‘valuable’ tool asset. I recently learned of the cutting jaw accessory (49-16-2780); and intend to look into that option immediately. I cannot estimate die life, but conscientious surveillance is in order. Beside die replacement, the tool counts cycles and after 40,000 crimps reminds the user to perform preventive maintenance. Of course, we ought also to be doing periodic tug tests on some crimps. So, between those three criteria, we should know when the system requires some re-calibration.

Milwaukee is the LEADER in electrical tools and the M18 Cordless Force Logic 600MCM Crimper is the latest reason why. This crimper is the easiest, most accurate way to crimp wire from 750MCM (with expandable jaw included in kit) down to a 8AWG. The jaw is designed to hold the connector in place for perfect alignment every time. The tool creates the exact amount of force needed for what ever size your crimping. There is a built in safety to ensure there is enough battery power to complete the crimp. The tool is loaded with extra features including two batteries, a universal charge and a hook to use while climbing ladders. The kit comes with two batteries, an expand 750MCM crimping head, sixteen (16) crimping dies #8 to 750MCM, room for four (4) more dies and colored coded tags for any AL dies you want t add. My favorite feature of this tool is the ONE KEY. This allows you to track the location of the tool, keep online records or lock the tool in case of theft. I have worked in the electrical trades for over 38 years and this is the best, quickest, easiest to use crimping tool I have ever had the pleasure of using. I would rated it ten (10) stars if I could. You need this in you’re tool inventory. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
