Good Quality, better than expected. Replaced Dewalt set.

Each one of the tools in the M18 set are extremely reliable and well performing. The set comes with two M18 XC batteries with extended life and a long run time. The Power Drill has a very comfortable grip for hands of all sizes. If you look online the drill has shown to go longer without overheating or smoking out than the Dewalt or the Makita. Its a fairly well performing drill but I would definitely pair it up with the impact driver for best results. The Circular saw performs extremely well better than my expectations. Usually portable circular saws are very underpowered but this one has been on par with the corded circular saws that I own. Its fairly light and reliable. The reciprocating saw is one of the best on the market. The Sawzall has always been given great reviews and is worth keeping. The flash light is reliable and bright but nothing more can be said about an 18 V flashlight. The set is great and all of the tools I have dropped at least once and the they still run great and accurately. Milwaukee tools last a long time I’ve had a hammer drill since 1987 and I still use it today.

I bought this set to replace my 20 year old set. So far I love it like I did the old set. Was just tired of having my old batteries rebuilt. This was also a fair price on this set.

I really like everything in this combo kit and would give it five stars if it wasnt for the fact that the chuck on the drill striped out after about two months of use. It was within 90 days of my purchase so home depot replaced it and by the reaction from the tool guy this must have been a fluke. Hopefully this next drill holds up better.

The included tools are a great kit to work with. The batteries easily last for most of my longer projects, even when flipping between tools. With the flashlight, the battery lasted through almost an entire night without dimming at all. I’m very pleased with this kit.

The tools work fine but it’s too bulky for my needs. I’m looking for something a little more compact for single handed use. I like the Ryoby compact set it is more convienient for my needs. I have corded Milwaukee production sawzall and 7″ saw plus cordless impact drill.

The overall performance of this kit is top notch as expected, but in my experience, the red lithium battery system seems to be sort of a gimmick so far. I have not had the kit long enough to rate the overall battery life, which is somewhat of a questionable issue for me since I have been dissapointed by the overall life of previous battery systems made by milluakee. I have little concern that the overall longevity of the actual tools is at question since milluakee is known by myself and many others for producing very durable and long lasting tools. The tools are made with more durable materials which does make them noticeably heavy, which is a small sacrifice for a professional contractor. Overall, my expectations have been met, but not exceeded. I thought after reading the reviews about the red lithium that I would be in awe, but I was somewhat disapointed by the battery performance while powering the circular saw. However, I have yet to find a battery system that will just flat out kick butt while being used to power any circular saw, let alone one sporting a 6.5″ blade. The price of the kit is fairly reasonable when compared to other high grade cordless tool kits such as ridgid, malita or dewalt, but be prepared to fork out 115.00 for a third battery which is a must if you are going to use more than one or two tools at a time.

Picked this up as my Christmas present, everything is great. A lot of power in each item. The only thing that could be improved would be the work light could be replaced with the new LED work light

Kit works great, haven’t used the hammer drill setting but looking forward to it. All the tools hold great power and would highly recommend this kit for anyone. The one little thing that I wasn’t impressed with was the size of the carrying case, if you don’t have them put in their perfectly it won’t zip shut but that’s not that big of a deal.

Buying combo tool sets is difficult because the big manufacturers (the reds, yellow, blues, and greens) tend to keep the same model number for their kits year after year even though they are continuously updating what is included with them. This kit is no exception and Milwaukee Model number 2694-24 has been used for their 4 pc sawzall/skillsaw kit for years.I’ve been waiting to find one of these kits that included Milwaukee’s new Red Lithium batteries as standard, but Milwaukee could not guarentee which of their kits would ship would the new batteries and I would just have to take my chances. So I did on this kit from HD and it turns out that as of June 28, 2011, combo kits 2694-24 include the Red Lithium batteries.Once I took delivery of the kit, I can see that the box clearly states Red Lithium on it, so if you are looking for the latest batteries, make sure it says Red Lithium on the box before you open it otherwise you probably got the standard M18 XC battery.By the way, in case you are wondering what the difference between combo kits 2694-24 and the more expensive 2690-24 is… the main difference is that the drill/driver in the 2690-24 has 650 n.-lb. of peak torque which is 100 in.-lb. of peak torque more than the drill / driver in 2694-24. The 2690-24’s drill/driver also has red numbers on the torque setting to help you tell them apart. Considering the price difference between the two I went with the cheaper one.Shipping took less than 3 days from HD and as a nice bonus, this kit also included a side handle for the drill driver which wasn’t shown in the picture.I’m happy so far with my purchase and it was nice to see that HD had the cheapest price on the web even before their current free shipping over 250 bucks promotion.

This is legit! I have used Makita, Rigid, and DeWalt in the construction business and at home. Milwaukee is heads and shoulders above all the other brands. The M18 system is the most reliable that I have used; unless the new M28 is better (which it undoubtedly is…based on the results that I have experienced from employing the M18 in my daily jobs). You WILL NOT be led astray by purchasing this kit. But, you MUST do it now while it is $399, $100 off the regular price of $499. Believe me, you will not be disappointed. As the old adage goes, “Takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin.'” Enjoy!

I love this set. Right out of the box you can tell these are well-made, high quality tools, and my Dad was a tool dealer for 25+ years, so I like to think I have good judgment in this regard. My last set was Dewalt (they were stolen), and while they make a great product, I like these better. The only negative is that I wish the bag was just a tad bit bigger; it comes with six internal pockets for accessories, but it’s hard to carry accessories in there with the tools. With a little practice, though, I did manage to fit 4 different small drill bit kits, a Sawzall blade set, two spare 6 1/2″ saw blades, the charger, and four batteries in the bag, along with all the tools, and all at the same time. (though it’s a very tight squeeze)Love ’em.

We all know that batteries alone can be expensive, so a combo kit like this is great. The sawzall, drill, light, and circular saw are all awesome. The Home Depot guy said it came with a tool bag and I told him I didn’t need it, I had Tyler with me. The home depot guy said it was free and part of the kit, so now I have two tool bags. The hammer drill gets it done. I work with a lot of metal and waukee has always worked well on metal. The saws are nice. I normally use the sawzall to get rid of walls or roots, depending on what project I’m on. And a circular saw is always handy. The light is ok. I usually use my headlamp, but it keeps Tyler busy making finger puppets in the shadows.Lastly, the batteries work all the way until they are juiced out. I like the larger Ah batteries, but the 3.0Ah that come in the kit last a good deal of time. Thanks again Home Depot!
