I use this drill for new construction plumbing, mostly 1.5″ and 2″ holes. For the most part the drill is great, battery life isn’t as good as I expected and after only a years use I’m having trouble with the drill bogging down in forward and reverse when drilling normal holes with good bits and fully charged batteries.Im sure Milwaukee will make right under warranty but that means lost time on the job.We all know these tools are too expensive to have to get them serviced so soon.

This thing is a time saver you will need at least a 9.0 as the 5.0 dosen’t work well if you want to drill multiple studs I use the 12.0 battery you can drill 4 studs no problem up to seven if you pull back and clean out the shavings half way through . The quick change is a little stiff at first but it wears in , much faster bit change than the keyed model as I own both. All and all a great tool.

I use this drill for plumbing top outs drilling 2 9/16 holes using a auger style bit it handles the large bit as well as any other I have used the clutch is a nice addition and keeps it from knocking your teeth out the drill is great in small stud spaces very pleased would definitely recommend this drill to any trade that drill threw wood using auger style bits

It’s great for tight spots And works great with hole saws. It would be nice if it had a low gear. So I could drill holes with the switch blades. But It a great tool to have.

Love the quick lock feature, bits just snap in and out. with 9AH battery, I can drill out a whole house. Quick lock extensions and big hawg bits are a great set up.

I’m a plumber and can go in a house and drill out all the studs for the pipe Togo through and not get a cord or ladder out with the extentions that go with them

Main use of this drill is drilling through tight spaces between 2x4s. This drill with a 6.0 battery is a beast. The whole feel of the drill is solid and it’s enjoyable to use.

Drills thru 2×4 framing like butter!! Used on attic electrical rough-in, this tool made it a breeze. The deal included a battery but no case. Highly recommend to any electrician or plumber.

As an electrician who uses this drill almost daily……I can not say enough good things. We bought our first one in May of 2017 with the 5.0 batteries. I have not taken the corded hole hawg out of the work van since. We now own a few of them so everyone on the site has their own. The 9.0 battery drilled out a small house home the other day and still had a bar left. Very impressed.

This tool is amazing!I would usually have to use my Milwaukee hammer drill, which would take longer more time that I had. Now,I can go through two pieces of wood in seconds.Im in the process of buying the Super Hawg as we speak!!

Really great tool

Great power in a compact size versus the Super Hawg. Still have my corded Milwaukee Hole Hawg with a Med chuck. You can’t beat the durability of the Milwaukee Hole Hawks.

I am a plumber and this cuts my job time in half. Without this tool, drilling a 3” hole and a 4” hole would take possibly 10 to 15 minutes depending on studs and nails. The Super Hawg less then one minute.
