SDS-Plus D-Handle Rotary Hammer brings traditional in-line D-Handle ergonomics together with faster than corded performance, corded durability and unsurpassed run time to give users the ability to cut the cord. The Milwaukee POWERSTATE Brushless Motor provides 2.1 ft. lbs. of impact energy, 0-1,500 RPM and 0-4,400 BPM. The Milwaukee REDLITHIUM XC 5.0 Battery Packs (not included) provide all day work on 1 charge and the Milwaukee REDLINK PLUS Intelligence protects the tool from overloading, overheating and over-discharging. The 3-mode functionality of the tool allows for both drilling and chipping applications while the LED provides better visibility in dark work spaces.

I acquired this drill a little over a year ago. Since then coworkers and myself have put it to good use. I work as a detention contractor installing security electronics. As such they are not a lot of options for corded tools inside the facilities I work in. Drilling 3/4 and 1 inch holes through dry block, precast, or reinforced concrete is what I use this drill mostly for and it excels at the job. Using the high demand 9.0 batteries delivers plenty of power with this drill and it will run all day and more for our applications. Before I got this we had a corded blue drill which is a great product in an of itself and for those that have used those I will say that this cordless drill from Milwaukee is as good and maybe just a little better as far as drilling is concerned. It is hands down more convenient and a lot faster to deploy.

Was shocked at the power! I expected it to work albeit not as fast as my corded Dewalt- boy was I wrong?! Goes through concrete and asphalt just as good if not better, and no cords.It will run down the smaller 3amp hour batteries semi quickly but the 9 amp hour got me through more holes than I could count. I’d imagine a 5 amp hour M18 would be a great balance between weight and battery life. Bits go in and come out easy. The handle is adjustable for angle and provides good grip and comfort. The depth set work great too if you need to make a lot of holes the exact same depth. 5 stars- it’s worth every penny…easily.

This rotary hammer is simply awesome. So far I’ve used it for cleaning out mortar, scaling and removing time. Drills 1” bits into concrete with no problem at all. I have used it to chisel away at concrete but it’s definitely not a jack hammer. Very happy with the battery life and strength of this tool.
