This M18 Fuel Brushless SDS Plus “D” handle Hammer drill has the power of a corded tool with the covenants of a cordless. At the same time I order the battery pack from Home Depot with 1-M18 12AH battery, 1-M18 6AH, and a fast charger. I use the M18 12AH battery with this tool ALL day long drilling 1″ holes in poured concrete and 1/4″ hole to mount Heavy equipment for my Audio and Video company. I use the other battery M18 6AH for my M18 Fuel Hammer drill to dive in Tapcons. I have Never been disappointed with Milwaukee cordles Tools and have a lot of them from m12 to m18 the tools are Rock solid. I’m going froma Bosh SDS Plud corded “D” handle hammer drive to This unit and It’s been amazing I don’t need to keep finding outlets; what a huge time saver.THANK YOU Milwaukee / Home Depot for a Fantastic productI’m very happy with this purchase;… just get the bigger battery as you will need it.

I am super happy with my new Milwaukee M18 Fuel 18-volt cordless rotary hammer. I used it to break up my concrete step that I need to replace and it broke it up with ease. I’ve used Milwaukee products for many years and have never been disappointed with their quality and longevity. This unite comes with two lithium-ion batteries and charger and is the high demand unit. It far outranks competitors in the time it takes to drill holes in concrete and the Powerstate brushless motor is powerful and durable. I’d definitely recommend the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1 inch rotary hammers for the professional or homeowner doing his own projects.

This hammer drill had great power even when drilling 1″ holes. Very easy on battery life, but power to spare. This drill has great fit in your hand, and easy to use.

I got the rotary hammer as a Christmas present for my fiance, he cant wait to open and use it. He has been talking about how great of a tool this is and how powerful it is. Now I had to exchange it for the battery powered one because he doesn’t always have access to plugs but I will come back on and review it after Christmas for a full review.

The M18 Fuel 18-Volt Lithium – ion Brushless 1inch SDS Plus Cordless D-Handle Rotary Hammer High Demand Kit is a tool that every plumber, electrician, carpenter and etc. should have in their toolbox because this is a needed tool when drilling into concrete, brick, or block when there is no power available. The quick charge batteries are a very nice feature to have, as well as the nice carrying case.

So far all I’ve used it for is drilling about 100 1/4″ holes. It’s very powerful. It’s great that you can turn off the drilling function if you need too. Its a little heavy, which helps when you want to do some chipping. If you need the power it definitely has it.

This is an extremely powerful tool. You get the bare machine (no battery) and all you have to do is attach the side handle and depth gauge. Push in an M18 battery and insert whatever bit you need (SDS or SDS+) and don’t forget some safety goggles. The settings are: pure rotary drill, rotary with hammer and just hammer mode. There is a mode selection position that allows you to rotate the bit so that it has the desired orientation when using pure hammer mode. The switch is is simple and is marked with clear embossed symbols.Bit insertion is easy, push and turn until it clicks into place. To remove a bit one simply pulls the collar back and it is released. My first test was on a sheet of granite counter top I had lying around. As soon as the hammer kicked in, the bit just sank into the material much faster than I expected and it blew out a big hole on the other side of the counter top! Impressive to say the least. Did I mention safety goggles? The depth gauge is very good when drilling into concrete as the hole can get drilled so fast it can be easy to go in too far.I intend using this to break up an old concrete walkway with a chisel bit.
