This is the hammer drill you want to have if you want to make life easier when you have a ton of anchors to drill. I use it to do seismic anchors. The 1/4 holes take less than 5 seconds to drill 6in deep and the 3/8 anchors take an average of 20 seconds. My old corded Bosch took 2 min to do the same job on the 3/8 in anchors!! I would recommend getting the 9.0 amp hr battery or better. The 5.0 amp hr drilled about 12 holes before it was spent. This tool rocks and saves a ton of time.

I have worked in the construction industry for 20 years and have used many tools, but I bought this drill specifically for drilling bolts for rock climbing. Before buying it I was skeptical about the performance because drilling in rock is a lot harder than concrete… This drills through hard granite like butter, 15 seconds for a 3/8″x4″ hole. It came with the 5ah batteries, I drilled 27 holes on one battery. I compared the specs with several models and brands,and this one had the best performance for the price.

This the second 1 1/8″ rotary I have purchased. The guys I have working with me liked it so much I had to give the first one to them. However, my main reasons for making the second purchase was how well I liked it compared to my other corded drills and the torque and BPM this specific Milwaukee drill had over other drills in the same size range. I had considered purchasing the 1″ drill, which you can pick up in most stores, but when researching the power comparisons it was evident to me that the little bit of money you can save by purchasing the 1″ was not worth losing the 2x BPM and torque increase you get with going 1 1/8″. Also, if you purchase Milwaukee products from Home Depot online like I do, you will scroll through the entire 16-18 pgs of your 18v search parameter to find those special buys with accompanying free tools or batteries.

Great tool to have on the job site when spider box is full. It can fit tight spaces and the batteries last a long time. Has same power and drilling capacities as a corded rotary hammer.
