Amazing tool, dug two 2.5 foot deep holes in hard clay on one 9.0 battery, using a 17” clay spade bit. Cuts through roots that other tools like an auger would struggle with. Can’t wait to use it on other applications.

The Milwaukee M18 SDS-Max Rotary Hammer is a beast of a tool. It’s a heavy tool to take on the heaviest of jobs. Changing bits is simple and easy with a positive lock when the bit is inserted in the hammer. The M18 9.0 battery will deliver power to the hammer for twenty minutes of continue use, The hammer has 2 speeds and has a brushless motor which is a positive for longevity.

This drill works pretty good I wish it had a 12 amp hour battery for it but for a cordless I would recommend it however there are bad comments about tools anywhere so with that said take care of your tools they will take care of you.

This M18 FUEL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1 9/16 in. SDS-Max Rotary Hammer Kit (1-Battery) is absolutely “Awesome”!!!As I opened the heavy duty carrying case, my first thoughts were: This drill is “HUGE”, and “What have I done?” As I initially played with it, and figured out the very simple settings, I realized that although this drill is big and heavy, the handles are well placed and it’s very comfortable to maneuver and control. The ergonomic design is very good! The easy fit chuck really is “easy” to use, and it locks in the bits securely. The 1-9/16” inch bits aren’t cheap, but nothing about this drill is “Cheap”. It’s really made very well, and it’s very heavy duty!I turned it loose using a chisel bit to clean up a concrete retaining wall where the concrete had run out under the base of the forms when being poured, and I straightened that 30 feet of bottom edge like nobody’s business, and in a hurry! I like this!!! A LOT!!! I’m really glad I got this behemoth!

I really wish this had a drill function for the coring bits like all other sds, sds plus rotary hammers. Otherwise it is a beast.

I’m an electrician and was skeptical for driving ground rods. Works better than the te-76 Hilti we used to use at where I worked before.

My first impression of this rotary hammer is that it is huge- see the photo where I compared it to a 1/2 cordless drill. It lives up to expectation quickly cutting through concrete. For years I had been using a corded electric drill with conventional carbide bits so I was used to spending 15 minutes or more to drill a single hole in my concrete floor to anchor machine tools. This rotary hammer dramatically reduces the time. The ergonomic design is good to. Although big and heavy, the handles handles on the tool are well placed and at no point did I feel that the tool was getting away from me.

Great drill for the money. Does light jack hammering. It does a great job drilling 1&1/2” holes in concrete without any issue. Another quality M18 tool from Milwaukee.

Milwaukee has created an SDS Max rotary hammer with the power of a corded tool of the same size, it rocks! What I like the best about this tool is that most jobs where I need to use an SDS max hammer are outdoors and small enough that having three 9AH batteries gives me an hour of work time at full power without having to find a suitable 120 volt outlet to plug into and run a bunch of cords. I haven’t found anything about it that I don’t like, it’s a solid well built tool. My advice is you definitely need to have at least three 9AH batteries to use this tool effectively.

We bought this to go through four inches of concrete to get to some plumbing. I had a half charged 9.0Ah battery that I started with. It worked pretty good. Once I put in a fully charged 9.0Ah battery, it became a concrete destroying hammer. Less than 20 minutes to open up two areas. The concrete did not stand a chance.

Milwaukee has come up with a great hammer drill. The one thing that makes it better than a corded drill is of course no cord needed, you can take it anywhere without the need of dragging a cord. This drill cut 4 3/4 inch holes for concrete anchors in 4 inch thick concrete effortlessly. The drill has plenty of torque so you need to hold on. Battery life is reasonably good. I haven’t had a chance to use the drill as a chisel yet but I feel sure that it will do as good a job. Although it’s a bit pricey for the occasional around the house job I highly recommend this tool.

This drill is a beast! Plenty of power and torque. You’ll want bigger batteries for it, I run 8s and 9s in it, very impressed.
