I gave this tool to my son as a gift, I can only say that I own this sawzall and have never had a issues with it. Out of the 40 m12 , m18 and corded tools that I have I only had problems with one and Home depot switched it out with no problem It did not work right out of the box and they could see that it was not used.

I use sawzall daily for my work, mainly cutting posts. I was hesitant to replace my corded sawzall because of concerns of having enough power to cut through 4x4s and 6x6s PT lumber. This cuts faster and easier than my 12 Amp sawzall. It is simple and it feels solid. It gives me also quite good accuracy for my cuts. I love the saw.

This Sawzall has amazing power! I’ve used it to cut down the aluminum framing to a 10 foot trampoline, cut up a rusted bicycle, wood pallets, tree pruning, and of course 2×4’s. When you hold the saw the build quality is evident. It feels solid and the rubber overmold makes holding the saw comfortable. The pivoting and adjustable shoe is an added bonus, along with the LED light for working in low light areas. The rafter hook is also good for tradesman as well as it gives the user the option of hanging the saw while tending to other duties. While the blade change mechanism is convenient, it is made of plastic. I believe it may not hold up to rough conditions over the long haul, but only time will tell. However, this is a quality and powerful Sawzall that any tradesman or DIYer would much appreciate in their tool arsenal.
