I was satisfied.

I have had a number of battery powered reciprocating saws and this is the best that I have owned and used.

Purchased this for my husband for Christmas even with a practically dead battery out of the box cut threw a 2×6 without any hesitation.

Bought this Milwaukee Sawzall after a series of misadventures with a competing brand. The other brand didn’t come with case, & as much as I tried to love it, it’s lack of a case (which the manufacturer acquiesced to provide, only to renege), it’s frail construction was was the final nail it’s coffin. I own a corded Sawzall, & combined with the other false starts with the other cordless reciprocating saw, here’s what I like & what I don’t. Like:1. Sturdy. This saw is well built. I contacted Milwaukee & they indicated the mechanics are identical to their corded Sawzall, which makes it slightly heavier than other brands, but studier.2. Comes with dual 5-amp batteries (plus charger), 25% greater capacity than most competing models. Despite the 25% greater capacity, the batteries are only 1% (10 grams) heavier than competitors’ 4-amp batteries.3. Ergonomic. Sculpted. Feels great in my hands.4. The blade-lock release actuator that opens the head that secures the blades is sturdy, doesn’t stick out or travel with the head, & can easily be operated with either the hand holding the saw or the hand holding the blade. This allows you hold the saw with one hand, change the blade with the other, without needing to set the saw down, hold it in your lap or with your legs, armpit, etc.5. The shoe is sturdy & swivels with the angle of the work. I think this makes more practical sense than a shoe with fixed angles where you have to hold the saw at the same angle, rather than let the saw’s shoe follow the work.6. Brushless. Some reciprocating saws are, the cheaper one’s aren’t. Brushless translates into better efficiency, which means longer cut time on a charge.7. Swing-out hanger. For the few tasks I’ve done so far with the saw, I’ve used the hanger every time. I didn’t know I needed this until I had it, and now I love it. Other saws I’ve used/have you lay them down (or put them in the case) when you’re not using the saw. This isn’t too terrible if your surface is clean & free or debris. If you’re in a messy environment, our outdoors, this can be horrible, forcing debris into the motor-housing’s vents.8. Milwaukee support is readily available. No problem reaching them, and they were willing to discuss saws & saw concepts generally, without making me feel like I was getting in the way of their ability to get to the next caller.9. Battery charger also charges Milwaukee’s 12V batteries if you have one of those tools (which, if you look at Milwaukee’s line of cordless tools, is extensive for both 18V & 12V).10. The sound the saw makes, while louder than my corded Sawzall, is not nearly as harsh as some other saws I’ve used.11. Cordless. Holy smokes, this opens up a whole range of uses impractical with a corded saw. I never went cordless before because I figured a battery-powered saw would go through charged batteries so quickly as to be virtually useless. My notion was unfounded. I don’t know exactly how long the saw will cut on a charge (because no job has gone long enough to go through a whole charge), but it’s “a while.” More specifically, “long enough.”12. Comes with two batteries. Anybody that uses cordless tools know you need two batteries. Going through a charge and then waiting to charge the battery, rather than swap an uncharged battery for a charged one, is impractical.13. Comes with a case. My corded Sawzall came in a metal box. I took it for granted that these saws came with a case. I had so many different types & lengths of blades in that box it didn’t occur to me that one would have a saw without a place to put the myriad of blades, some of them super sharp & dangerous. Getting a competitor’s saw that didn’t come with something to carry it in reinforced this afore unrealized need to the point I say “Make sure your saw comes with a case.”Don’t Like:1. Battery charger doesn’t look as cool as competitor’s and could be more compact.2. Doesn’t have an orbital mode like some others. I’m not sure how effective orbital mode is given the flexibility of blades, but I’d rather have the capability than not have it.3. Heavier than some other saws. I don’t notice it, but it is. Some professional reviewers have noted that heavier saws are more durable. I can’t speak to this fact anecdotally, but it would make sense.4. Louder than my corded Sawzall. The sound isn’t as harsh or jarring as some other cordless saws, but my corded Sawzall is quieter even after 20 years of extreme abuse.
