The Milwaukee M18 FUEL SUPER SAWZALL cordless saw delivers the power of our 15 amp model while providing faster cuts up to 150 cuts in 2×12 SPF lumber per charge. The rechargeable battery powered reciprocating saw combines Milwaukee’s legendary performance and durability and is designed to withstand the toughest wood, drywall and metal applications. The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor was purposely built for the M18 FUEL SUPER SAWZALL to provide the power and performance of a 15A corded reciprocating saw. Built-in REDLINK PLUS Intelligence ensures optimal tool performance and provides overload protection to prevent damage to the tool and battery during heavy applications while still maintaining compatibility across the entire M18 System. The REDLITHIUM High Output HD12.0 Battery Pack provides 50% more power and runs 50% cooler versus standard REDLITHIUM HD packs. In addition to the SAWZALL, this kit comes with one M18 REDLITHIUM High Output HD12.0 Battery Pack (48-11-1812), one M18/M12 multi-voltage rapid charger (48-59-1808), one ready-to-use blade, and a durable contractor bag.

Probably an overqualified tool for DIT work, but that’s how I use it. Very handy in the yard; with 6″ or 12″ pruning blade makes quick work of most limbs with less hassle and maintenance than a chain saw. A little heavy, but that is the only negative. The regular Sawzall may be a better choice for many, but I tend to go with the best I can get.

Saw was easy to assemble and fast to get the battery charged. The instructions were a bit daunting, so I enlisted my tool-savvy brother in its debut run. Worked like a charm to cut up deadwood branches from a large fallen cedar tree, using wood cutting blades he had (saw comes with only a metal cutting blade). It is quite heavy – you need two hands. I will limit its use to 15 minutes or so at a time to prevent back strain.
